Pours clear amber with clean white head and good lacing. Medium carbonation. Nice looking beer. Aroma has lovely caramel malts backed by pine, pineapple, marmelade and apricot. Taste is sweet with a pleasant bitterness and good body, with touch of saltiness in a medium finish. Not a hop rocket but a balanced, flavoursome IPA.

Malt on the nose and very boozy. Dark (for an ipa) pour with heavy head, dissipated quickly. Apple on the palate and nice hoppy tang but ultimately too much alcohol in the finish. Not gassy in spite of the heady pour. Long finish but just too boozy. (It is 7% mind🤓)

Mix between new west coast ipa still with some malt profile. Not completely pale ale.

Clear orange with a big white head. Grass, peach and light grapefruit paired with sweet notes. A good beer but was somehow awaiting more.

Bottle. Amber in colour. Hoppy (very resinous, piney and earthy hops). Fruity (grapefruit and lemon citrus). Spicy (peppery). Malty base (caramel and toffee). Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Finishes quite bitter hoppy. Nice IPA, not too extreme. (2008)

Pours pale amber with thick, lasting, frothy white head. Aromas of fruity hops and caramel malts, but these are less intense even after the beer has warmed up in the glass. Moderate bitter taste. Grapefruit, resind and orange peel notes on a malty base. Medium body, moderate creamy texture, moderate carbonation levels. Bitter finish.

(bottle) slightly hazy deep golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of brown sugar, sweatsocks and resin, with lots of cornflakes, some sauted onions and nettles. flavour is mostly orange peel and herbal hops, slightly sweet, with some more cornflakes, a hint of lactose and a light-bitter floral-hoppy finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Enjoyed 01-22-2008 Appearance: Huge, foamy head fills glass. Tried to pour more slowly but no dice. Weird because it was in the fridge for a couple of weeks. As it finally receds, golden body shows. Nice appearance but the immense head is a bit off-putting (took a good 5 minutes to pour) Lace clings to glass. Smell: Pungent citrus aroma with some hops for good measure. Taste: Hoppy bitterness with a small wood-like feel & citrus aftertaste. Mouthfeel: Hops are consistent throughout, nice spiciness as it warms. Drinkability: Smooth, not too aggressive. I would certainly have another.

Can from Spoons in Eastbourne. Had high hopes from nice aroma but the alcohol seems to be the main stay of this beer. Not a big enough flavour profile to hold the %.
