355ml bottle. White-yellowish head. Golden colour. Strong herbs and perfume like aroma, hops, roses, juniper, citrus. Palate is little bit low on carbonation. Flavor is sour and bitter with herbs and hope. Some orange and floral tones too.

Bottle. Amber in colour. Hoppy (very resinous, piney and earthy hops). Fruity (grapefruit and lemon citrus). Spicy (peppery). Malty base (caramel and toffee). Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Finishes quite bitter hoppy. Nice IPA, not too extreme. (2008)

Pours pale amber with thick, lasting, frothy white head. Aromas of fruity hops and caramel malts, but these are less intense even after the beer has warmed up in the glass. Moderate bitter taste. Grapefruit, resind and orange peel notes on a malty base. Medium body, moderate creamy texture, moderate carbonation levels. Bitter finish.

(bottle) slightly hazy deep golden colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of brown sugar, sweatsocks and resin, with lots of cornflakes, some sauted onions and nettles. flavour is mostly orange peel and herbal hops, slightly sweet, with some more cornflakes, a hint of lactose and a light-bitter floral-hoppy finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Enjoyed 01-22-2008 Appearance: Huge, foamy head fills glass. Tried to pour more slowly but no dice. Weird because it was in the fridge for a couple of weeks. As it finally receds, golden body shows. Nice appearance but the immense head is a bit off-putting (took a good 5 minutes to pour) Lace clings to glass. Smell: Pungent citrus aroma with some hops for good measure. Taste: Hoppy bitterness with a small wood-like feel & citrus aftertaste. Mouthfeel: Hops are consistent throughout, nice spiciness as it warms. Drinkability: Smooth, not too aggressive. I would certainly have another.

Can from Spoons in Eastbourne. Had high hopes from nice aroma but the alcohol seems to be the main stay of this beer. Not a big enough flavour profile to hold the %.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2017 Pours a medium hazy, deep orange-copper. Very overpowering malt with mainly caramel and grapefruit, but also honey and vanilla flavours (getting a very slight whisky aroma too). Solid bitterness balanced by its sweetness. Personally would have liked it a little less balanced.

Orangebrun farge med offwhite skum som ligger. Lukter av grape, ananas og litt mot aprikos. Medium fylde og medium med kullsyre. Bitter og sdme i avslutningen.

12oz bottle at the Monks Retreat, Reading. A slightly hazy, pale amber pour with a tight white head; piney aroma; and a resinous piney taste with a fresh leafy hop bitterness and some sharp lemon; then a long quinine finish.

Really nice and very strong hoppy taste. Not too sweet for the 7.1% alcohol. Nice IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
