Full Disclosure: This beer came to fruition because we saw a gap in our portfolio and we wanted to increase our market share. Sometimes the truth hurts. But most often, its damn refreshing. The Truth Imperial IPA--the latest addition to our year-round portfolio-is a hop bomb of some of the most distinct Pacific Northwest hops available today. Its sharp hop bitterness begins with huge pine notes on the nose, which evolve into bright citrus (think grapefruit) and subtle stone fruit flavors.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange almost copper color with a fingers worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a gentle pace. Slight stringy lace. The aroma had a clean caramel/toffee malt base playing with some piney bitter hops. The flavor was somewhat sweet yet bitter at different times. Same in the aftertaste. Mildly hits the same in the finish. The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about. ABV and carbonation felt fine. Fairly smooth along my tongue. Overall, decent, but I realize this isnt their best style they can do.

Foggy orange beer. Moderate white head. The aroma is melon, honey, tropical fruit, citrus. Medium to full body. Sweet malts start the taste. After that grapefruity hoppiness begins. Medium bitterness. Perfect balance.

120z bottle from Beer Bazaar in Hainesville. Lighter than IPA pour with streaky off-white lacing. Aroma has pine and grapefruit, and pineapple, with some sweet malts. Taste is bitter - chewy resin, salty grapefruit rinds, some light sweet malt. Medium bodied with some alcohol presence, the blend is decent and the carbonation is constant. Finishes fairly bitter. Shrug? Strong and fairly bitter. Not a great blend. 13.7
