Full Disclosure: This beer came to fruition because we saw a gap in our portfolio and we wanted to increase our market share. Sometimes the truth hurts. But most often, it’s damn refreshing. The Truth Imperial IPA--the latest addition to our year-round portfolio-is a hop bomb of some of the most distinct Pacific Northwest hops available today. Its sharp hop bitterness begins with huge pine notes on the nose, which evolve into bright citrus (think grapefruit) and subtle stone fruit flavors.

12oz. bottle, gifted from a fellow vacationer. Pours a clear orange with a short lived white head that recedes quickly. Citrus and pine aroma. A hint of lemon. Solid malt backbone lends a light sweetness to the grapefruit and lemon bitterness. Hops stay on the tongue for a moment after the swallow. Medium bodied. Very nice.

kaserov (800) - Oviedo, SPAIN - JUL 13, 2017

Pours clear, light gold, off white head. Aroma is grapefruit forward, fruity, some pine. Taste is pine, spruce, resin, some grapefruit, then a rush of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel, fairly smooth, slightly heavy. A hint of the alcohol. Pretty good.

dwyerpg (6222) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUL 3, 2017
Has a strong creamy nitro feel to it, with a bint of alcohol poking through. Thought it would be better.

PowY (797) - AUSTRIA - JUN 30, 2017
From bottle, bb 16.02.2018. Pours a hazy, dark, orange-golden with a small white head. Surprisingly mellowed aroma, lightly malty (bread) and lightly hoppy (citric fruits and pine). Medium body with a soft carbonation, a light to medium sweetness and a medium to heavy bitterness and some noticeable alcohol. The flavor is medium malty (some caramel, biscuit), but the bitter hoppiness is pretty dominating. Lightly fruity, peachy with some grapefruit, but soon overpowered by the bitterness. Dry bitter finish.
