COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full Disclosure: This beer came to fruition because we saw a gap in our portfolio and we wanted to increase our market share. Sometimes the truth hurts. But most often, it’s damn refreshing. The Truth Imperial IPA--the latest addition to our year-round portfolio-is a hop bomb of some of the most distinct Pacific Northwest hops available today. Its sharp hop bitterness begins with huge pine notes on the nose, which evolve into bright citrus (think grapefruit) and subtle stone fruit flavors.

pale copper, thin foamy head...dusty aroma, flavors of burnt caramel, alcohol, moderate bitter long finish, no discernible malt (a plus in my book)... definitely drinkable but not a lot going on-- no real citrus or pine, etc..

Ja, hij is lekker. Fruitig, hoppig and licht-zurig.

Pours clear, light gold, off white head. Aroma is grapefruit forward, fruity, some pine. Taste is pine, spruce, resin, some grapefruit, then a rush of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel, fairly smooth, slightly heavy. A hint of the alcohol. Pretty good.

Has a strong creamy nitro feel to it, with a bint of alcohol poking through. Thought it would be better.

From bottle, bb 16.02.2018. Pours a hazy, dark, orange-golden with a small white head. Surprisingly mellowed aroma, lightly malty (bread) and lightly hoppy (citric fruits and pine). Medium body with a soft carbonation, a light to medium sweetness and a medium to heavy bitterness and some noticeable alcohol. The flavor is medium malty (some caramel, biscuit), but the bitter hoppiness is pretty dominating. Lightly fruity, peachy with some grapefruit, but soon overpowered by the bitterness. Dry bitter finish.

Smell of light fruity. Fruity and sweet taste. Okay bitterness that fills the upper part of the mouth to a weak moment. Okay beer but bitter. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

fkoolen (1220) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - MAY 25, 2017
Bottle at Cafe Frappe, Maastricht. Slightly cloudy golden, creamy white head. Grapefruit, citrus, resinous hop profile, sweet and grainy malty base. Good body, medium carbonation, oily.
