Full Disclosure: This beer came to fruition because we saw a gap in our portfolio and we wanted to increase our market share. Sometimes the truth hurts. But most often, its damn refreshing. The Truth Imperial IPA--the latest addition to our year-round portfolio-is a hop bomb of some of the most distinct Pacific Northwest hops available today. Its sharp hop bitterness begins with huge pine notes on the nose, which evolve into bright citrus (think grapefruit) and subtle stone fruit flavors.

pale copper, thin foamy head...dusty aroma, flavors of burnt caramel, alcohol, moderate bitter long finish, no discernible malt (a plus in my book)... definitely drinkable but not a lot going on-- no real citrus or pine, etc..

120z bottle from Beer Bazaar in Hainesville. Lighter than IPA pour with streaky off-white lacing. Aroma has pine and grapefruit, and pineapple, with some sweet malts. Taste is bitter - chewy resin, salty grapefruit rinds, some light sweet malt. Medium bodied with some alcohol presence, the blend is decent and the carbonation is constant. Finishes fairly bitter. Shrug? Strong and fairly bitter. Not a great blend. 13.7

has a really nice floral pine hop aroma. The taste is a good floral hop taste with maybe some fruits like hint of peach, tangerine.

Bottle 355 ml at Patricks Irish Pub, Ljubljana. Pours orange, medium frothy white head. Hoppy, tropical fruit, citrus, some pine, moderate sweetness with lasting dry bitterness in finish. Medium bodied. Probably not the freshest but still good.

Clear copper pour with creamy white head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruits, with lots of pine. Tropical and citrus fruit sweetness with grapefruit standing put with pine and a solid hop bite. Solid lacing. Very nice!

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a nice-looking deep orange with an average size mostly-lasting frothy white head. Nice hoppy aroma (7+), herbal and a bit catty, along with some tropical fruit and citrus. Hoppy flavour follows the aroma. Moderately bitter finish. Alcohol is mostly well hidden. Medium bodied. Overall, a pretty good IIPA.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper body with a one finger foamy beige head. The nose is a nice blend of citrus and tropical fruit hops over a lightly sweet caramel malt base. The flavor is pretty nice, the sweetness is kept very well in check, and the bitterness is on the more subtle side as well. Still lots and lots of juicy tropical and juicy hoppiness though. Very enjoyable, and quite easy drinking for such a big beer. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Nice beer.

Goud kleurig bier met een mooie witte schuimkraag. Aroma: beetje fruitig, witte druiven, wat mout en een klein beetje marijuana. Smaak: beetje fruitig, klein zoetje en in de afdronk wat alcohol en redelijk bitter.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2017 Tap at Jack Browns. Slightly hazy dark golden with ample foamy head. Not getting much off the aroma- perhaps too cold- but slightly grainy and dish watery. Flavor is mildly bitter with some off flavors. Too bad. Must add- it got better as it warmed.

33cl bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam and poured into a stemmed tulip glass on 13-Frb-2017. Almost clear golden amber with a medium sized white head. Aroma of citrus, malt and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Slightly bitter and hoppy. Melon, grapefruit and peach. Fruity with a long lasting (heavy) bitterness.
