UPDATED: NOV 22, 2012 Draft at Bushwallers in Frederick. Served in a pint glass, dark amber color with off-white head. Aroma of heavy banana, some wheat and yeast. Taste was fruity, yeasty and bread. Medium body, creamy and didn’t really taste the alcohol. Pretty good.
On tap at the brewery, aged about 9 months, and great. Sweet, super drinkable, and a really good example of the style. It’s cloudy, with a lot of banana in the palate, and a dry finish. Tap. Pours hazy amber/light brown with just a trace of fizzy white head. Aroma is caramel and cookie malts, floral hops, banana, herbs, and some barnyard funk. Flavor is sweet malts forward with medium fruit esters and some floral hops adding just a touch of bitterness along with some banana and light maple syrup; dry finish. Draft at Fire Works Pizza, Leesburg. Pours a cloudy orange color with a thin creamy head. Decent head retention. Aroma of wheat, bubblegum, stone fruits and a peppery note. Serving: Draft. It pours a cloudy orange color with a small and short lived head. It has a huge estery nose full of banana and bubble gum. The flavor is so heavy with banana and bubblegum the wheat seems really weak. Overly sweet and heavy on the tongue, it just kind of sits there. I’m not impressed by this one. Tap at Smoke&Barrel. Pours a full haze, murky orange. Weak head. Yeasty nose. Super estery. Paper, carbon, apple pie. Some apple cider vinegar. Taste is white alcohol and cloyingly sweet bananas. Ick. Sort of like a mega sticky sweet hefeweizen. Very dense and sugary. Hard to enjoy.

Clear, yet hazy, copper brown with white head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of wheat, banana and yeast.
Taste of banana, cloves, wheat, yeast, bread and grain.
Medium/light body and medium carbonation.

Sampled at the second Halloween bash at the brewery. Decent banana and vanilla and plum nose. Hints of alcohol. Flavor is fantastic banana and hints of clove, wheat, and bubblegum. Pretty tasty example of the style, but not knocking it out of the park. pras (602) - Maryland, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Every month when a new Brew House Rarity is released I think its my favorite. This month did not disappoint. Dark brown in appearance with a ton of banana on the nose. Banana flavor continues onto the taste with nice bready and other malt flavors throughout. Relatively high alcohol content is hidden. The beer is slightly warming. Overall very nice. Most people say that this beer doesn’t travel well and if you want to know what a weizen bock really tastes like you have to go to Germany. This may be the next best thing, if you see it on tap, give it a go!
