Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a hazy pale amber color with a medium sized creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of stone fruits, banana, citrus and floral hops. The taste is herbal and spicy hops, stone fruits and a tart finish. Medium bodied. BeerandBlues2 (13706) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 23, 2011
Bottle. Pours lightly hazy orange with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is citrus, light biscuit malt, barnyard notes, tropical fruits, coriander and black pepper. Flavor is light malt, moderate citrus, light hops and bitterness, spices, farmhouse and a dry finish. Light body, low warmth, medium carbonation. Bottled. Poured clear, bright golden with a towering, not-too-tightly-packed white head.. some lacing followed it down. The aroma picked up dusty cloves, grains of paradise, and dank floral and grapefruity hops over honey, wheat, and other generic pale malts. The flavor found similar stuff.. honey, wheat, and other fairly unusual malts topped by bright spices, fresh hops, and prickly carbonation.. similar components to the nose.. tangy and spicy on the long finish, and the fresh hops worked well there. Medium-ish bodied with way too much carbonation on the palate.. decent balance of stuff in here, but it was far from great.

Whole Foods, P st, DC sixer ($11): Pours a golden color with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is pretty heavily slanted towards the spicy Belgian yeast (which according to another rater is Saison Dupont yeast). However, there is a citrusy hop component. Taste is sort of an onslaught from the Belgian yeast and the hops. This is not a really hoppy beer, and it seems to me that the hops actually become more prevalent in the aftertaste than initially. There is plenty of sweetness, plenty of dryness, and weird balance struck amongst the array of flavors. All in all, I don’t really think that this is that crazy of a beer, or one that deviates too far from the accepted norm of a Belgian Ale or Saison. I thought it was good pleasant drinking. ben4321 (6677) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - NOV 1, 2011

Aroma: The nose has some yeast, spice, and a little citrus (lemon, grapefruit)
Appearance: This one pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a small white head
Flavor: It has a pretty good flavor, similar to nose, spicy, with some grass and citrus hops
Palate: It is light-medium bodied, with some fairly heavy carbonation, and a touch of dryness on the finish
I thought this one was pretty solid. I was actually expecting to see the score be a bit higher. I seem to recall a consensus in the room that we all found it to be pretty good.
Pours golden with a thick, foamy white head...decent lacing and retention. Aroma is very herbal...a little odd...earthy and wheaty but smells a bit like armpit funk. Flavor is also herbal..definitely wheaty and spicy and for certain...tastes like armpit sweat smells! Mouthfeel is light and lively with a dry herbal finish...needs some citrusy hops! Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a pale yellow color with a large styrofoam like white head. The nose is slightly floral and fruity with a touch of peach and apple. The flavor leans to the fruity and very bitter side. A little apple, pear, peach, honey, and pine with a strong, lasting bitterness. Light in body with an above average amount of carbonation and a bone dry bitter finish. This one just didn’t mesh for me. sloth (2930) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - SEP 26, 2011
Medium sized white head with fair retention and a nice lace. Pale gold color, good clarity. Nose of light malts and corn, slight citrusy, grassy notes. Body is lightlymedium, Carbonation is lightly prickly and its lightly oily on the palate, light acidity. Spicey yeast flavors, bready and grain, faint hoppyness. Finish is dry, little metallic. Similar flavor profile to Raging Bitch. Bottle from statelineliquors.
