Bottle, 09/24/2012. Pours light copper, thin white head with decent retention, minimal but cohesive lacing. Aroma of mild grapefruit, orange hop character, caramel malts with dusty wheat. Taste is lemon, wheat, bread, light grassy hops. Light body, easy-drinking. Not too bad.

Location/Date:Bottle on September 23rd, 2012.

Appearance: Pours an orange clear.

Aroma:Aroma of light grapefruit from hops.

Taste: Wheat, with grapefruit from hops..

Palate:Light body.

Summary: Solid wheat ale but nothing I’d go out of my way to have. I appreciate the use of local ingredients in a beer once a year though.

Tap at CK. Clear light orange. Diminishing white foam. No lace. Nose is soap, mild orange candies, small sugar. Taste is lightly bitter, Suddy, spicy Brazil nut in the back end. A bit bland. After breathing and warming, the nose brings thick cream of wheat, honey and fresh bread. Taste is still bitter, sharp, malty, doughy, thick and rustic. Not bad.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2012 Cool, I’m the second to rate this. Bottle poured into weisen glass, light color with thin white head. Aroma mainly of citric hops, yeast and wheat grain. Taste is bitter yet fairly light; grassy, floral and a little spice. Nice.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2012 Yeasty/bready nose. Light Golden in color. Hops predominate the flavor of this beer. Straight up bitter. Good flavor throughout. Only negative to me is that it seemed a little bit thin on the mouth feel.
