4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
One if not the best pumpkin. Dark brown with tan head. Coriander, nutmeg, sweet malt, pine, mint and near perfect balance of pumpkin hits the nose andfollows through with the taste. Very nice.
Very good pumpkin ale, the aroma leaves something to be desired, but the final taste is of a real pumpkin ale with all the autumn herbs and spices, like a little halloween cake. bth122 (1629) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 15, 2017
Poured a very dark brown. Average carbonation. Aroma of cinnamon pumpkin pie, toffee, biscuit bread, brown sugar. Medium body. Warming alcohol. Light sweetness. About same taste as aroma with more maltiness. Pretty good. Bamsen78 (5543) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - OCT 8, 2017
Draught @ the brewery. Pours slightly hazy dark copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, pumpkin and yeast, with some hoppy touches. Sweetish flavour of fruit and malt, with heavy notes of c-hops and pumpkin and touches of fruit. Dry and pumpkinny aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Decent. nearbeer (5563) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 6, 2017
12 oz. bottle bb 02.08.2018. Clear, deep copper-chestnut with a ruby tint and a spongy disc of foam. Rich aroma of roasted pumpkin, toffee, toasted pecan and a light dose of earthy pie spice. Flavor is the same pleasant mix, plus some leafy/wooden hops, wheat and just a touch of sour from the pumpkin. Medium-plus bodied with smooth low-medium CO2 and a dangerously drinkable balance. I really appreciate when a pumpkin brew highlights the pumpkin and not the spice. Can't remember a better example of that. sinfull (1781) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - OCT 1, 2017
Chestnut color. Medium-sized , off-white head. aroma of malt and pumpkin spices. sweetness from toasted malt, spices and pretty strong herbal bitterness in taste. Good pumpkin beer.

-Villanueva standing alone
-Vets as protected class... presumably b/c they've fought and died for freedom and American ideals
-but what does it say that benefactor values their gift more than the beneficiary?
-we eschew every institutions as soon as they're no longer convenient to us. There's no grievance too small to tear the whole thing down
-then we wonder why we're divided
-someone asked me what is the end game? Might be easy to say there is none. Or that's it's just petulance lashes out. But that misses the underlying problem.
-the Individual is sovereign. If it was more convenient to us--if national sponsors would allow it--every person in the stands would have their own personal anthem... and we'd sing them all.
-the NFL institution and it manifests itself in the shield. Players, coaches, fans accept it because it suits their interests (players don't wear Blm wristbands b/c they'd be fine for violating uniform conduct policy)
-but as a fan, does this institution still suit our purposes? Does it provide an escape? Does it entertain? NFL and football have always been a unique American tradition... unifies us under the banner of certain Universal ideals... teamWork, hard work, etc. even American ones... specialization, ruggedness. certain institutions shouldn't be eschewed so easily. They're worth subordinating our individual interests for the greater good. But the NFL is not one of them (it's more peripheral... the expression of deeper ideas) So I will not watch.

caramel, roasty, clove, Probably my favorite pumpkin/yam beer this year. I was served with a pumpkin spice rim. mmasucci85 (7) - - SEP 19, 2017 does not count
I didn't really get too much pumpkin flavor. It was a good, smooth imperial ale, but the mouthfeel is a little thin.

Bottle present from mr_h. Very dark brown, big beige head. Toffee vegetable aroma. Strong treacle pumpkin flavour. Sweet but sharp aftertaste with hot chilli kick. Interesting but not my thing. edgallow (4377) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 8, 2017
