Bottle (BB Jan 10, 2018). Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (grain), moderately yeasty (basement), with notes of banana and cement. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium to full body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Highly phenolic, simplistic, and pretty clunky.

12 ounce bottle. Bright amber orange pour is topped by a small creamy hire head that leaves nice clinging lace. Faint fruity citrus malt nose. First sip is bittersweet malt with subtle banana and apricot notes. Warming alcohol in middle. Dry wheat malt and brown sugar notes in finish. Clear golden with small foamy whitish head, faint malt aroma, high carbonation, slightly sweet malty taste with light bitterness and Belgian yeast profile, alcohol undertones, smooth body, abrupt malty finish. 12 ounce bottle. Astonishing. probable the best Trippel I have had that was not Belgian. It should be better on tap, right? Where is that bar? The aroma and palate- mouthfeel stood out the most to me.

Bottle. Golden body with a large, lasting white head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, clove, pineapple, floral hops. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Sweet with clove, banana, citrus flavors. Yet there’s a hop bitterness that lingers. Flavor shows a sweetness from sugar and yeast. Carbonation gives a mild effervescent feel over the pilot. Flavor and aroma run hand in hand. Doesn’t have the huge yeast character that a Belgian would have. It is ok.
A beer that tastes of clove and banana, your usual Belgian yeast flavors, a bit of spiciness. Could use a hint more carbonation if you ask me. Overall, a decent tripel. Not great, but certainly worth drinking again for the price. Best New Jersey beer I’ve had.
