COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Belgian-style strong golden ale showcases a variety of the ingredients and brewing methods that help differentiate Flying Fish beers. The Grand Cru is fermented at a higher temperature than our other beers adding an undercurrent of fruitiness and clove (although there is no fruit or spice in the beer). Very lightly filtered, the Grand Cru exhibits complex mouthfeel, strong malt flavors, a spicy hop presence and a soothing alcohol warmth, followed by a clean, dry finish. It is excellent with food as well as served by itself.

Malts: Two-Row Pale, Cara-8, White Wheat, Demerera Sugar, Acidulated
Hops: Styrian Golding, Columbus
Yeast: Belgian Abbey Style
Original Gravity: 15.7 plato

I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours golden with a white head and lacing. The aroma is fruit and spice. The taste is banana, spice, and earthiness. It’s prickly and flavorful. This is pretty decent.

floydslip (392) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 30, 2016
Slightly hazy copper-colored beer with a medium fizzy bright white head. Somewhat sour nose of lemon, clove, and rice wine vinegar. Flavor is not quite as sour and spicy, and is actually more on the sweet side with prominent kandi sugar, sweet cereal grain, and pear followed by a rather dry bitterness that ends quickly, Good beer in the Belgian style.
