This English-style I.P.A. features a deep golden color, plenty of hop bitterness balanced by malt sweetness. Dry hopping results in a floral and herbal hop finish. HopFish is then lightly filtered to maintain the appropriate body and flavor. The beer features a combination of European malts to balance the hops, making this quite drinkable and quite versatile in pairing with food.

Malts: Two-Row Pale, English Medium Crystal, and Munich
Hops: Nugget, Palisades, Cascade, Columbus
Yeast: Chico
Original Gravity: 14.7 plato

UPDATED: APR 21, 2009 One of my favorite IPA’s. The aroma you get when poured, very good. The flavor of this beer, well just try it. If you dont like hoppy beers than don’t bother. I rank this right up there with DogfishHead 60min IPA

Bottle from Total Wine, South Richmond. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malt, minor coffee, minor citrus. Flavor is bland malt, minor coffee, almost no citrusy hops. Very bland, boring, and more a pale ale than anything.

This isn’t a bad beer... just a bad ipa. Very malty and full bodied. Very light on the hop flavor. Sweet very sweet. at best a pale ale. Good carbonation.

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Best by 4/21/2017. Pale gold, off-white head. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Taste is rather bland, with citrus, caramel, grapefruit notes, earth, and soap.

Pours with a one-finger bubbly white head that fades slowly a good lace. Crystal clear amber color. Medium bodied & medium carbonation. Light grapefruit hop nose. Flavor starts with sweet caramel malt and late grapefruit hops, slight bitter aftertaste. Gift 12oz bottle.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2017 (12oz bottle) AROMA: hoppy, fruit ice cream, sweet malt/corn, hint of smokey. APPEARANCE: golden Amber, mostly clear, just a tad hazy, creamy pale white head, some lacing. TASTE: toasty malt, some coffee/toffee, dry citrus rind, creamy black cherry, light resin, soft hop finish. PALATE: medium body, fresh upfront, clean, not overly bitter or dry. OVERALL: this IPA leans a bit towards the malts, good ale look and feel, very drinkable. Definitely more English-style, as described. Not as big as many Amercan-style IPAs but still has decent body and complexity. so this is less of a sipping ale. Would make a good every day, hearty beer.

light balanced malt/hop aroma. gold and clear in color with fast fading head. taste is hop forward but had malt background to balance flavors of resinous hops and caramel malts.

teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - OCT 13, 2016
Not sure why I never rated this. Had multiple bottles of this when studying at UPenn, 2009. One of my first American IPAs. It pours a clean rich golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is resinous and lightly malty with notes of pine cones caramel and resin. Taste is medium sweet with a nice malty backbone and a clean bitter resinous hop presence. It’s a classic West Coast style IPA with good malts and resinous hops. Would not love it today probably, but did enjoy it back then.
