Bottle. Red with white head. Nose is piney and citrusy. Orange and lemon notes in the taste. Caramel malt, maybe a little too sweet. Good full mouthfeel. Solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

7%ABV. Red ale.

Tapped out amber brown. 22ºSRM.

Mouthfeel is soapy, just like an IPA. Palate is sweet malt, hint of caramel, sweet, hint of the nutty flavor of an amber, but the palate is really really sweet. Hops are pronounced with pine needles, pine sap.

Finish is long with a pine sap and pine resin flavor finish.

Overall, this was more of an IPA for me.

Bottle. Poured a hazy copper color with full head. Aroma of crisp floral hops and malty biscuit goodness. Medium bitterness. Great balance of hop/malt mix. Medium body. Piney notes. I am enjoying this one.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy Amber orange topped by a small creamy beige head. Toasted malt nose hints at spicy hops. Crisp toasted malt flavor has astringent, spicy, burnt sugar and roasted nut notes. Peppery hop finish. Dry aftertaste.

Aroma comes through solid red ale. Taste is a bit less than expected. Medium body lots of carb. A decent red IPA. Not bad. But average and enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Shared 12 oz. bottle. Best by 3/4/2017. Pours hazy pale amber with a soapy off-white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, floral notes. Taste is citrus, caramel, pine notes, herbs. Not bad.

Going on memory for this review; recently enjoyed a bottle of this with dinner, I recall a full ruddy red-amber hue with long-lasting white foam, aroma of fresh piney hops. More amber ale-style caramel malt in the flavor with a solid West Coast hop bitterness, notes of pine and grapefruit. Medium-bodied, smooth, and definitely worth a try!

Aroma: sweet and fruity; Appearance: murky amber pour with thin white head that lingers; Taste: sweet and malty with pleasant dry finish; Palate: medium body with medium finish; Overall: better than expected but would not get again.

CObiased (554) - Bayfield, Colorado, USA - APR 16, 2017
12oz bottle - it pours a clear dark amber with a med to thick off white head. Nice aroma of pine resinous hops, citrus and bready red malts. Similar flavor of basic hop notes and amber malts. Not bad not great

Tap pig iron. Maroon & clear. Mild beery aroma. Farely mild initially then it tries to become like an IPA, hop bitterness sets in. Yes, an APA trying to be an IPA but never quite gets there. Medicinal finish.
