Shared this one with my wife last night. I had given it to her as a birthday present (I’m such a great guy). This one is like drinking a raspberry-chocolate pie. They got the perfect dark chocolate and raspberry taste. Impressive. Even the drink has a red tint in it. A very good dessert drink.

Sample during the "Beer Inventory Reduction and Get Together" tasting on 07/03/2017. Clear dark brown color with a medium beige head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Roast malt, chocolate and berries in the nose. Medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, tart raspberry and vanilla. The finish is creamy with a chocolate and raspberry aftertaste. Above average overall.

750ml bottle @ Matt’s. Spring CANBIF 2017, thanks byronic. Pours a dark brown colour with a thin frothy white head. Nose is quite the synthetic raspberry chocolate note, more so like those strawberry marshmellow candies. Flavour is pretty much the same... the synthetic feel prevails to cheap halloween candies, which sadly doesn’t offend me too much.

Gerbeer (3793) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 26, 2017
750 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with light bubbly head. Aromas of sweet red fruit and chocolate. Flavors of super sugary strawberry candies out of a cheap box of chocolates. Needs more stout and less sugary fruit flavoring.

Ferris (15901) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 26, 2017
Bottle - Raspberry and chocolate, like the many Christmas chocolates. Clearish brown with a decent beige head. Artificial and a bit thin.

Oakes (17831) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 26, 2017
Medium brown. Raspberry on the nose, with some artificial chocolate stuff as well. ON the palate, it’s not that bad, though the artificial character is not great. The raspberry does ok, the cocoa stuff isn’t all that great, but for me the base beer jsst needs quite a bit more sweetness and body to make it work.

mcberko (18068) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 26, 2017
750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a medium tan head. Aroma brings out lots of raspberries upfront, followed by a touch of cocoa powder. Flavour is similar, with notes of raspberry and artificial cocoa. Very artificial tasting, unfortunately. Not good at all. Seriously -- brew with real ingredients and charge a premium for it; I’d happily pay more for a better quality product.

raspberry chocolate. a bit aged.good black colour.bottle sample with peter.

dfearnley (2200) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 2, 2017
Raspberry on the nose, but not overly sweet or sour. It’s mixed with milk chocolate, light malts, and cherry. Taste is light sour raspberry and artificial chocolate and a good amount of bitterness and burdock. Translucent brown with a thick, creamy, tan head giving ringed lacing.

DuffMan (10451) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 1, 2017
Bottle, in an overly fancy boxed package. Dark brown with amber highlights, beige head. Big raspberry syrup and cocoa character, quite sweet, with spicy undertones. Too sweet for my preference but not a bad beer.
