COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
NOTE: Pilot batches of this were available prior to release with varying levels of chocolate, including on cask at Cask Days as Mark Henry Sexual Chocolate, which was a blend of a pilot batch and the production batch.

If I had 2 million Ecuadorian Cocoa Nibs... I would brew you an Imperial Chocolate Stout. Brewing with BNL demanded a rare treat -organic Ecuadorian Cocoa nibs -to create a rich, friendly Imperial Chocolate Stout as sweet and quirky as the band’s music. We lovingly aged this beer on a bed of luscious raw cocoa nibs creating a black velvety brew so fudge-y it makes you want to lick the inside of your glass. Opaque as chocolate cake, this roasty brew pours topped with a whipped mocha froth. The creamy dark cocoa flavours gently warm with a steady 10%ABV. No bitterness to this stout, just a chocolate boldness that, like a happy memory or a perfect song, keeps on giving. And like great music, this bottle is meant to be shared with special friends and family.

Sweet milk-chocolate aroma, very alike to Southern Tier’s Choklat. Some dark malt in the aroma as well and rich cocoa notes. Completely black, thick pour with minimal head. Taste is also reminiscent of ST, with the milk chocolate showing prominence, carbonation and alcohol in the middle and dark cocoa/mild hop bitterness at the finish. Bitterness doesn’t meld as well with the rest of the taste as in the ST. Body is medium, would have expected a bit thicker for the type of beer. Overall great chocolate imp.

Pours a very thick mocha coloured foamy head and has a very dark brown appearance, looks like chocolate milk. Huge aromas of chocolate, toffee, cocoa and mild coffee. Dark chocolate and cookie dough flavours at the forefront. Alcohol is noticeable but quite subdued being a 10%abv beer. Not offensive at all. Sort of a light French vanilla cappuccino taste in the finish. Slick and mildly creamy mouthfeel. Very sweet and somewhat bitter mouthcoating sensation. Held onto this one for approx. 6 months. It was like a liquid dessert. Great!!

On tap @ Hopaholic. Black coloured with beige head. Intense chocolate fudge in aroma and taste, with some coffee notes and long lasting, sweet finish. Creamy mouthfeel, heavy body, soft carbonation. Lovely.

Bottle from kbudd19, thanks Kevin. Pours opaque black with a large, creamy tan head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy sweet milk chocolate and lactose with roast malt and soft vanilla. Flavor is lightly bitter roast and chocolate malt, medium chocolate milk/syrup, lactose sweetness, vanilla, prunes, light earthy hops and bitterness with a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

750ml bottle. Black in colour with a large long lasting beige head, excellent lacing. The aroma is of chocolate, some roast, chocolate, some vanilla and more chocolate. The flavour is sweet first with lots of chocolate, powdered chocolate, some alcohol. Sweet mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, lots of chocolate and sweet. Exactly as it says it will be. So much chocolate. Surprised by the lack of body in this though. Too sweet.

Todo un pastelito de chocolate empalagoso cómo debe ser, una cerveza con un aroma muy rico y mejor sabor que emana de su textura densa y pastelosa. RICA.

Wow this is where it’s at! Basically as billed... Huge on chocolate Aroma and flavor with a balance all around... Finishes sweet but you’d never know it’s 10 percent!

Sampled during Bengals Tailgate 12/13/15. 750ml. Up front, holy crap, big cocoa puffs, nesquik kind of aroma. Reminds me of the regular FM chocolate imperial stout, but more chocolate, and actually a bit less sweet than I remember, more dry. Good touch of coffee, too. Black color, with an impressive amount of light brown head, decent bits of lace. Medium to bigger body. Kind of chewy. Very mild slick. Light dry finish. Kind of moderate to bigger sweet, kind of sugary. Light to moderate bitter. Solid, impressively chocolately chocolate stout. But a little is enough, wouldn’t want to do more than 6oz.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet chocolate, spice and alcohol aroma. Heavy dark sweet toasted chocolate flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid sweet beer.

750 ml bottle shared by alexsdad06- thanks again, Brad! Pours an opaque brown with a small tan head that settles into a ring. Aggressive chocolate, with caramel, mild roast, earth, brown sugar, and pralines. The aroma is all cocoa. The flavor starts earthy and finishes and lingers with intense chocolate sweetness. Medium-full bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, sticky mouthfeel. If you’re not a chocolate person, stay away.
