On cask. Cloudy brown. Aroma of wet pine, cherries, tangerine. Sticky medium body. Sickly sweet. Sweet long finish overpowers any hop bitterness. Leaves the aftertaste of an orange licqueur, and the sticky syrup in your throat. Terrible, unless you’re looking for a beer to ply 18 year old girls with.

Opened after purchasing over 6 months ago (Oct.2013). Pours a thick average size frothy, off-white head. Has a slightly dull amber/copper appearance. Aromas of bitter resin and spiced hops as well as some sweet, bready malts. Nothing too overpowering though. Has a very rich and mouthcoating flavour of spiced hops and earthy type hops, fairly bitter and strong citrus hops, quite tangy. Has a little bit of the oak-aged feel. Peppery notes. Somewhat smokey. Amarillo hops sorta noticeable. This one really warms up your throat going down and doesn’t let up, and not in an offensive way. Slick creamy mouthfeel. Full bodied. The alcohol is very well hidden. The aged on Spanish cedar part really makes no difference to me. Still pretty damn good stuff!

Aroma is cedar, Carmel, flowers, booze. Appearance: cloudy orange/copper with some sediment. Thick lacing. Taste- cedar chips, Carmel, leather, butter, flowers, booze. Palate- medium thick with some residual bitterness. Average carbonation. Overall- pretty good, the cedar comes through nicely. Not too hot.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle poured into a glass. Aroma is spicy, medium body, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is spicy, woody, herbal hops, and earthy. Different, but not as hoppy as I expected.

MunBro (942) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 27, 2015
Spicy and woody aroma, almost like a fine cologne! Golden orange pour with a foamy head and nice lacing. Has a very powerful woody flavour (cedar) with a spicy and peppery bite up front. That fades into a gorgeous, lush hoppy profile with plenty of citrus flavours.
