COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Heeding a chorus of voices crying for a dark roasty thing with lots of west coast hops and a higher ABV, we summoned Netherworld from the chaotic flipside of the brewhouse where hybrid is the norm and nothing is ordinary. Hovering just this side of evil, in the right hands, our «Cascadian Dark Ale» is bizarrely nice with its own entrancing mojo. However, watch out for those who refuse to see the darkness.

Caña en el Lupulo 26..02..2016. (R247). Flying Monkeys event. Color negro con espuma beige oscuro. Toques regaliz algo de caramelo maltas tostadas y ligeros herbaceo algo ásperos que perduran por un buen rato junto con amargo seco. Buena pero algo espera y seca.

Bottled. Deep reddish brown colour with a mediumsized fluffy/foamy off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some floral notes, mild fruits as well as some ashes and mild liquorice. Flavour is quite similar, but quite intense on the floral and fruity notes. Anyhow the roasted/ashy notes are a bit too strong to make this an enjoyable BIPA.

Clear deep red - amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is light and a little dry, nice fine crispness. Smooth dark malts, some roasty bitterness. Very thin malt cream. Unsweet dark chocolate. Pine and modest hop bitterness. Mild hop skunk. Smooth finish leaves a bitterish linger. Good one.

PotjeBier (3195) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 18, 2016
Small sample from tap @ Beer Temple. Clear dark brown color. Off white head. Aroma’s: strong roast, almost salty. Retronasal there’s also some red fruit. Flavor is roasted, rye/pumpernickel bread, toast. Light to medium bodied. Finishes roasted and bitter. Pretty good, calls for a full sample retry.

On tap at Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam. Nose is citric. Body is clear dark brown, head is medium, brownish, creamy, average lasting, excellent lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate, grass, mild coffee, light spices. Light sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Finish is long lasting roasty and hoppy medium to heavy bitter. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Quite easy, tasty, great one.
