Caña en el Lupulo 26..02..2016. (R247). Flying Monkeys event.
Bottled. Deep reddish brown colour with a mediumsized fluffy/foamy off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some floral notes, mild fruits as well as some ashes and mild liquorice. Flavour is quite similar, but quite intense on the floral and fruity notes. Anyhow the roasted/ashy notes are a bit too strong to make this an enjoyable BIPA. madmitch76 (24785) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2016

Clear deep red - amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate is light and a little dry, nice fine crispness. Smooth dark malts, some roasty bitterness. Very thin malt cream. Unsweet dark chocolate. Pine and modest hop bitterness. Mild hop skunk. Smooth finish leaves a bitterish linger. Good one.
Draft at Beer Temple. Very dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, light overripe dark fruit and fruity hops. Flavour is light moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation. PotjeBier (3334) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 18, 2016
Small sample from tap @ Beer Temple. Clear dark brown color. Off white head. Aroma’s: strong roast, almost salty. Retronasal there’s also some red fruit. Flavor is roasted, rye/pumpernickel bread, toast. Light to medium bodied. Finishes roasted and bitter. Pretty good, calls for a full sample retry.
