COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Holy Hop, Batman, this beer has aroma." Hops are casted nine different times, its a breath-deep-and-shudder-with-pleasure kind of scent thats all from the Citra hops. With a high alpha acid of 11%, Citra has a cacauphony of flavours and aromas --Citrus, passion fruit, grapefruit, lime, melon, lychee fruit, pineapple, mango, and papaya and dominates this beer.

Smashbombs olfactory tropical explosion shockwaves your face every time you lift the meringue foam towards you. Its like the ecru-coloured top of a beer pie before it gives up and grips the glass. You can see the Victory malts signature in the amber lights in what is primarily a deep golden beer. And, yes, dont be fooled --theres malt going on here, too, as youll see in the firey body of this ale that makes Smashbomb Atomic look like it radiates its own energy.

With the first taste, Smashbombs 70 IBUs are pronounced. This brew is a little bitter, but bitter like a grapefruit with three tablespoons of sugar on top. Its also incredibly drinkable. The oddity thatll keep you tipping the glass is that as this citrus peel front subsides, you actually gleen the sweet flavours of the Victory and Crystal malts. Then, as the bread-puddin bicuity sweetness of the malts are chased by the dry, tropical flavour of Citra and the fruit punch bouquet is all in your face with each sip, its all is so damn intriguing, youll be driven to keep on sampling...and sampling.

Tap at Erzbierschof Zurich. Powerful but surprisingly dry IPA. Lots of citrus, very bitter, but still almost quaffable. Heavy thick foam. A good and surprising brew!

Really nice IPA that is basically just a citrus bomb beer that has a cutting amount of alcohol.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2016 2015/09/26 - Pours a clear copper colour with a thick, foamy white head that slowly reduces and leaves ample lacing. Aroma is biscuit, honey, citrus, light tropical fruits, roasted malt, caramel and slight pine. Taste is roasted malt, honey, light pine, mild citrus and biscuit, Mouthfeel is medium and slightly chewy with sharp carbonation and and long, bittersweet finish. Pretty good; nothing exceptional, but certainly better than most. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty good complex IPA. not straightforward hopyness, but some funk and dryness in there that makes it interesting, but not excellent.

12 oz bottle from Santa shared with drsordr. Pours a hazy dark golden orange color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor are very malty, bready, mild sweetness, honey, some soft fruit in the background, light herbal, earthy, some mild to mild plus bitterness to the finish, ok.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2016 Bottle shared by alexsdad06, not sure how old, pour dark gold with moderate white head. Nose hint of tropical fruit, sweet malt. Taste moderate bitter bite up front, followed by dank hop and light tropical fruit. Mid palate bitter then bteady malt. Long bitter finish. Unfortunately the flavors in this sample are muted throughout. Initial rate 3.3 On rerate, likely a fresher sample. Nose similar but more intense. Taste more grassy and slight peppery hop. Lingering bitter finish. Rerated 3.5

Bottle at guirigall. Hazy orange small smooth white head. Mild aroma of malts and flowery hops. Flavor is malty and quite strong plain hoppy. Some caramelly sweetness too. Pretty straight ipa but the hops are just bitter no flowers at all. A little too much caramel.

Golden orange colour. Loads of fruity hop in the aroma. Some sugary tropical fruits in the taste together with a solid malt background. Balanced and sessionable.

Hazy deep golden with an off-white head. Aroma of citric and piney hops, slightly stale, with a malty note. Flavor has light maltiness, slightly stale hops and big bitterness. Medium-bodied. Decent IPA
