"Holy Hop, Batman, this beer has aroma." Hops are casted nine different times, its a breath-deep-and-shudder-with-pleasure kind of scent thats all from the Citra hops. With a high alpha acid of 11%, Citra has a cacauphony of flavours and aromas --Citrus, passion fruit, grapefruit, lime, melon, lychee fruit, pineapple, mango, and papaya and dominates this beer.

Smashbombs olfactory tropical explosion shockwaves your face every time you lift the meringue foam towards you. Its like the ecru-coloured top of a beer pie before it gives up and grips the glass. You can see the Victory malts signature in the amber lights in what is primarily a deep golden beer. And, yes, dont be fooled --theres malt going on here, too, as youll see in the firey body of this ale that makes Smashbomb Atomic look like it radiates its own energy.

With the first taste, Smashbombs 70 IBUs are pronounced. This brew is a little bitter, but bitter like a grapefruit with three tablespoons of sugar on top. Its also incredibly drinkable. The oddity thatll keep you tipping the glass is that as this citrus peel front subsides, you actually gleen the sweet flavours of the Victory and Crystal malts. Then, as the bread-puddin bicuity sweetness of the malts are chased by the dry, tropical flavour of Citra and the fruit punch bouquet is all in your face with each sip, its all is so damn intriguing, youll be driven to keep on sampling...and sampling.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, hazy orange/copper pour with white head, aroma brought notes of pine, grass, lemon peel, some slight oxidized notes into a bit of biscuit, bread, touch of spice, some stone fruit. Taste was a mix of stone fruit, orange, grapefruit, some oxidized cardboard into some bread, biscuit, touch of grassy lemon, finishing fairly bitter.

Draught @ The Boathouse, Kitchener. Pours clear amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of citrus and malt and some fruity touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of needles and malty touches. Hints of yeast and fruit. Lingering, bitter aftertaste. Welll-balanced and very pleasant.

Rating #1120 - 06.07.2014 - I know I have had this before this bottle snag from @foxjunk, but apparently I suck at entering beers. Pours a rich golden, small white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is grapefruity, pine, pastry dough. On the palate, similar citrus and pine zest, mild resin. Medium bodied and extraordinarily balanced. Right up there with the best Canadian IPAs Ive tried.

Ambar. No demasiada espuma pero muy duradera. Aroma magnífico muy lupulado, pomelo, galleta, té. En boca textura excelente. Cremosa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Pleasure bar.. Floral hop aroma featuring orange & caramel. fruity flavor, with alcohol and a metallic harshness. A little thin on the pallet (but i think the brews here a little under carbonated.) harsh finish.

Tap30, Petoskey, MI, draft. Great, strong grapefruit-hop aroma. Lacing doesn't last. Bitter, but not over the top. Citrus upfront, pine on the back end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle shared at a tasting, 6/8/15. Clear copper, thin fizzy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of floral hops, candied citrus and a mild metallic note. The taste is piney, resin hops. Thin bodied, strong lingering bitterness.

Almost no head, very resinous aroma, citrus, and some diacetyl. Taste is close to a double IPA, aftertaste is caramel, exotic fruit and alcohol. Ok beer, but a bit too unbalanced
