It is pilsner but does not have a strong hop aroma or bitterness, which is to be expected from a South American beer (too hot for hops, I suppose). It is clear and golden, like a pilsner should be. My friends agree with me that there is a Chardonnay aroma and aftertaste, so I believe that it must be stored in old wine casks or, perhaps, it is different strain of yeast. I’m not sure of this, though. It is not an extraordinary beer, however, I really enjoy the Chardonnay touch. It’s a bit different. DannyHi (2) - Sao Paulo, BRAZIL - MAR 16, 2016 does not count
It’s a very generic light lager (similar to Bud Light). I would say that it does basic beer....very well. It’s not supposed to be anything more than a basic, light, drinkable lager. And for that... it’s very good. Brazil5521 (2) - BRAZIL - MAY 31, 2016 does not count

Uruguay seems to produce four beers (god knows, I looked for more and came up dry in both Colonia and Montevideo): they are all very similar pale lagers. Nortena has a hint of sourness to differentiate it from its Uruguayan cousins. Do not buy Uruguayan beer looking for anything other than a standard pale lager. Usually in HUGE 1 liter bottles. Nortena was my favorite Uruguayan beer, due to the slight sourness lending it some complexity. Not bad. Russo (2011) - Hemhofen, GERMANY - MAY 12, 2007
Big Bottle! Nice golden beer, with a nice aroma. Too little white head, disappear quicly. The flavo is similar to other lager beer a a little mor alcohol than our lager beer.
Cerveja clara com pouca espuma e que some rapidamente. Um aroma fraco e um sabor mais forte e pouco amargo,.
