I prefer the dryer ciders but I still found this to be excellent...aroma is not strong but is apple, a little yeast, some astringent/dry note. My bottle poured clear and straw-colored. Taste is sweet, slightly tart but suffers in complexity, perhaps because of being just stayman? Still a good refreshing cider.
750ml bottle, as Stayman Winesap, at the December 2016 DC area cider tasting. Light tartness Touch of light art apple notes. Flavor was light tart apples, crispness, light sweetness. Tasty. GenDV138 (7201) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - DEC 23, 2016
Bottle at the RateBeer DC Cider tasting. Clear whitish yellow. Aromas of apples, champagne, light honey. Tastes of apples, champagne, light caramel. Light body with a dry finish. Iphonephan (6946) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - DEC 17, 2016
From a bottle at the RB cider tasting December 2016. Pours a clear pale gold with a thin off white head. Aroma of pie and eating apples. Semi-sweet robust apple flavors. GTAEgeek (2183) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Sample at the Decatur Craft Beer Fest. Pours clear and bubbly, with a greenish tint. The aroma reminds me of fiji and red delicious apples. Very sweet, with just a little tart note. Light, bubbly body, with a smooth, crisp finish. Overall, this is a sweeter, more approachable cider. Very tasty! obguthr (6296) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Apple aroma, slight must, rubbery funk. Clear champagne colored, streams of carbonation. Dry apple, tangy on the back end. Harsh, fizzy mouthfeel. Semi-sweet at best, champagne-like. I’ve had better from Foggy Ridge.

Bottle from Astor Wines.
Clear, pale golden pour into my Ommegang chalice. Slow, but constant bubbles.
Smell of bittersweet apples is a bit muted, but I can make out a flowery, pithy/rindy quality, & lots dusty yeast.
Taste is softly sweet, like powdered sugar. Macerated apple skins. A flash of tartness. Grassy. Saline & mineral finish. Not the most complex thing, but it’s not insanely sweet either, so I’ve went ahead & gulped up half the bottle before writing down much of anything. :)
Much more mild & mellower then First Fruit. Carbonation is micro-beaded as opposed to fizzy. Just a touch of body as a result. Low acidity. Alcohol is barely there, but will keep you cautionary(or maybe the price will), hopefully.
Very solid. :) Palidor19 (3186) - Brandon, Florida, USA - FEB 5, 2012
a lovely sweet cider with a high amount of carbonation and flavor. it has a great ordeal of sweetness and not too tart. the crispness of the apple are quite exquisite.
brings a fine tasting cider to the table. nick76 (4399) - Tampa, Florida, USA - FEB 5, 2012
The aroma is dusty and sweet with apples and water. The appearance is golden. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average for the style. Overall this is not great or bad but an average cider. nimbleprop (8278) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - OCT 26, 2011
750ml bottle pours a transparent, bright yellow with one ring of white head. Nose is sweet, apples, candy, a bit buttery. Flavor is sweet, apples obviously, pears, candy. Full bodied, sweet finish.
