Everything about this beer was really damn good except that the palate seemed off to me. It just seemed undercarbed. The aroma was great with plenty of hazelnut evident. It had a nice coffee, hazelnut, chocolate flavor...like I said, just kind of an odd mouthfeel that held it back for me. vyvvy (6399) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Sampled at Scratch 2nd Anniversary - Pours dark brown with a sudsy tan head. The aroma has roasty malt, herbal notes, woodiness, chocolate and some nuttiness. It has a medium / thin body with somewhat sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with somewhat crisp chocolate, nuttiness, some sour notes, cocoa nibs and bitterness. The finish has some herbal bite and more tartness. Nice porter. Strykzone (7308) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Sample at Scratch Anniversary. Dark black with a nice long lasting tan head. An intreresting beer. Flavors of chiclory, cocoa, nuts, floral, and earth. Flavorful and pleasant. Just a little thin in the feel. Leighton (21089) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 18, 2015
Keg at Thirsty Monk - Asheville, NC during RBWG 2014. Pours rich brown with a creamy tan head. Very tasty, with light cocoa notes, toasted bread. Very drinkable. Medium bodied with average carbonation and creamy mouthfeel. Balanced finish with further toasted bread, light dry caramel, mild earthy bitterness. Solid. jackl (8029) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 23, 2014
Keg @ Thirsty Monk, Asheville. Brown pour with a small off-white head. Smoked herb garden. Dark roasted malts with delicate accents of flower, grass root. Some wood. A mild accent of smoked ham. Mellow chocolate and nut. Peanut butter. Some dirt. Medium body, smooth. The nose has a nice floral character that doesn’t really follow through. Still, solid effort.

I dont usually love a porter, but this is one of the most delicious beers I’ve ever had. The tast has subtle hints of hazelnut and chocolate with the most even and smooth texture. The brewery offers the Wisteria Porter on Co2 and Nitro. I prefer the nitro. I cannot say enough good things about this porter. decaturstevo (6244) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 14, 2014
