Exploded on me and made a terrible mess. What was left was not good but I will rate again later. Jow (3899) - New York, USA - JAN 28, 2017
Tap at Chellos. Golden pour frothy head. Nose is citrus. Tastes of lemony citrus, grapefruit, grass, straw, light herbal notes. Thin watery palate. ferguimara (14) - - NOV 10, 2016
With a nice refreshing hoppy scent, this beer provides a consistent long lasting taste that is true to the IPA style. It does not have a long lasting bitter taste like many IPAs, which is awesome. Foxbush (2008) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - OCT 4, 2016
UPDATED: DEC 14, 2016 12 oz can from Beer store in Wickford, RI. The ale poured to light Amber color with a frothy head and lacing. Citrus aroma greets you. This is crisp tasting IPA with plenty of grapefruit and orange pith. The ale has a medium body with average carbonation. Nice hop bitterness settles in the back of the mouth. The finish has lingering bitterness on the tongue. Reevaluated: I saved some hoping for improvement. The hop bitterness is metallic and astringent. tfontana (954) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 8, 2016
Can pour into nonic pint glass from Trader Joe’s. Aroma is faint herbs and citrus, cracker/bread. Appearance is hazy pale yellow with decent sparkle, finger-width white head with poor retention and trace lacing. Taste is citrus with light cracker malt backbone. Palate is medium bodied with foamy carbonated texture, dry finish. Overall, this isn’t much of anything. Pretty weak all around. If you had a friend who swore they hated IPA’s, give them this--there’s no way they could be offended.

green grass and hay .. draft @ van dammes pub .. very mild and simple, good for a quick pint, no substance or bitterness .. . . To me this is not yelling. I am not yelling. I’m just passionate about my opinions and I want to tell you all of them before you start talking again. ronaldtheriot (1919) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - APR 23, 2016
Backyard IPA has an extremely exuberant, overly foamy, slightly off-white head, an orange-gold appearance, with lots of medium and powdery tan-gray sediment, and heavy lacing left behind. The aroma is of a bit of sweet & sour sauce, apricot, and sourdough bread. Taste is similar, with a rather low level of bitterness. Mouthfeel is high medium, and Backyahd IPA finishes dry and drinkable. This comes across as more of a pale ale than an India pale ale. RJT Bebum (964) - Massachusetts, USA - DEC 26, 2015
Straw color, hazy, explosive and forever lasting head.
Medium body, assertive flavor, moderate heat, long palate.
Very bitter and dry.
Aggressively hoppy, grapefruity, herbal,
Shows hops nicely but I wish there was more malt. Perhaps with rich food would be just right.

Can. Hazy deep gold with a frothy white head. Light aroma of toasted grain, raw grain and resin. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of caramel, floral hops and raw grain. Light on the hops for an "aggressively hopped American IPA." Jrwhitney6 (490) - - OCT 6, 2015
Beer of month club. Pours from can a light amber color, slight haze. Nose has a soapy, citrus, floral quality. Taste of some citrus and their are good - but doesn't really taste like an IPA. Eh.
