Clear dark black brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, dark fruit, raisin, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark fruit, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150811]

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, no head. Tangy dark malts, tangy dark fruits. Little spice. The fruitiness gets quite intense. Light semi dry finish. Nice porter.

Medium sweet flavor with burnt malts, baking cocoa, scorched earth bitterness, some sugary chocolate. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Rich and roasty on the finish, with more strong chocolate character, earthy bitterness. Good stuff.
