Bottle via trade a long time ago shared a couple weeks back with the usual crowd. Poured a medium to thicker density super dark brown with an average sized foamy beige head. Aroma of oxidation(maybe I sat on this too long), chocolate pudding skins, bourbon, vanilla, dark toast, old raisins, chocolate cake batter and pennies. Medium full body, average carbonation, boozy and a lingering aftertaste. Flavor of chocolate, vanilla, booze, chocolate muffins, bourbon and dark fruits. Good but passed it’s prime, my bad on that though. Steve_0 (3818) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Bottle at home with friends, courtesy of Josh. Thanks man!!! Pour is deep brown, black with a small tan head and decent lacing. Big coconut, roasty, oaky, caramelized sugar, vanilla, light soy, earthy, toasted malt, and coffee in the aroma. Taste is rich dark chocolate, vanilla, toasted coconut, vanilla, butterscotch, toasted espresso, bourbon, and oak with a rich roasty finish. Thick/syrupy mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Really nice blend and a real treat to try. Something I could drink all year. Ed5388 (3488) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - JUN 20, 2014
22oz bomber (2011) shared by dmac! Thanks bro! Pours a thick oily looking black color with a small foamy dark mocha head. Aroma of roasted stale coffee beans, sweet caramel, strong boozy bourbon, chocolate, oak, and butter. Taste of roasted coffee, rich caramel, toffee, dark chocolate, oak, and bourbon. Slightly oxidized, but still really solid. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 28, 2014
Pours a very dark brown almost black color with tan head. Cocoa, whiskey, and some roasted malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. More whiskey notes on the finish. Experiment_Ale (1098) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 12, 2014
At my place with Taylor, Matt, and Jake. Pours black with a circle of grey lacing. Aroma is phenomenal complex bourbon, great booze notes, fuck yeah, smooth malty very soft savory notes. Taste is tasty bourbon booze, dark roasted malt. The booze is a little over powering, but is very very nice beer.

Had to try this on my Birthday, at 11am!
A: Plenty of pfft on the cap removal. Pours a black, intense ale. Thick in appearance, little to no head formation. Little lacing. Good looker.
S: Wow, beautiful! Bourbon, vanilla, caramel, honey, darkened malts, praline, molasses, marzipan. Absolutely outstanding.
T: A hint warm initially, but then the plums, dark fruits, bourbon barrels. The cocoa starts to come out here and remains now with excellent resonance. The beer is so complex. Now I have to get more. Shit.
M: Thick, chewy, velvety with high viscous body and low to medium carbonation. Slicks my mouth and adheres to my palate. Exceptional.
D: This beer blows me away. I haven’t had any of the beer from the breweries involved, but if this is their only release, then so be it! Make more!

AWESOME beer! Was privileged to sit beside a guy at a Founder’s dinner who after the dinner went home and pulled this phenom from his cellar! List for words at how good this beer is!!! johnnnniee (4457) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 16, 2013
2009 version shared with the tasters choice crew.
Thick black heavy oak and bourbon with nice coffee and chocolate undertones. Fantastic beer! Rando7 (787) - Iowa, USA - SEP 11, 2013
Bottle pours tick black with thin tan head, Wonderful bourbon aroma with underlying malts. Taste bourbon, chocolate, malts and oak. Thick rich palate with alcohol burn. Finish prolonged oak, roast and booze.
Top notch bourbon barrel aged stout, the only drawback was a little loo much oak for my taste.
