2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: OCT 1, 2014 Foithills’ reformulated version of Carolina Blonde is a cream ale; a style that is often thought of as a non-craft beer style. Unfortunately theirs doesn’t inspire greatness. It is a pretty golden pour, however, with some lacing. Well balanced and lightly fruity, but has a sort if noble twang thing in the finish that seems metallic, though this was the bottle version. Just ok. I prefer the prior formulation as a pile style beer.

Blondes are hit or miss for me. This one was ok....somewhere around borderline. Sampled in a build your own 6-pack from a getaway to Myrtle Beach. Decent refreshing feel from a clearish pale yellow appearance. Flavors of super light caramel malt, grain, and water. Pretty much summer or lawnmower beer here. cheap (6128) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 24, 2017
High hopes for this low abv cream ale. After all, I like Genny cream! Hey, you know, I liked Carolina Beer Co. Blonde (retired), and it wasn’t bad and I heard a rumor this is the new carolina blonde, almost same recipe! From a bottle I assume its clear pale yellow. Smell is a little sour. Taste is initially a little tart, I think. Good bubbly sensations. Enjoyable, un-offensive with just a tail of that ale attitude. Yes, could drink a couple of these mild ales, not bad. acarnicelli (10) - - JUL 2, 2017
Not a terrible blonde cream ale but nothing to write home about. A decent beer for a hot summer day.

Fruity and clean and I really enjoyed this - surprised to see it here as cream ale but I don’t really understand that style anyways. puboflyons (3508) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - APR 10, 2017
On tap at the Charlotte, NC airport. Yellow, heady pour. Slight haze. Big citrus hop aroma, which is unusual for a Blonde...Unless I was misinformed of what I was drinking. Toasted bread. Light to medium body. Same big citrus hop finish with roasted sweet malts below. It is more like an IPA.

On tap at Capitol On Tap. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is light grain, light body, lower carbonation, and pretty good lacing. Taste is light malt. hman43 (1812) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - JUN 13, 2016
Pours a light golden color. It has the taste of grass, with corn, and faint floral elements. It has a clean finish with a bit of an astringent bite. jrob21 (3835) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 25, 2016
On tap at Tobacco Road. Go hoos! Crisp clean dry. More presence and flavor than the full steam IPA I just had if that’s telling you anything.
