New Cream Ale Formula: Two row barley, a hint of wheat and noble hops make Carolina Blonde exactly what a craft brew American Cream Ale should be. Clean, refreshing flavor. Rich, golden color. Unmistakable smoothness. Brewed right here in North Carolina.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2014 Foithills’ reformulated version of Carolina Blonde is a cream ale; a style that is often thought of as a non-craft beer style. Unfortunately theirs doesn’t inspire greatness. It is a pretty golden pour, however, with some lacing. Well balanced and lightly fruity, but has a sort if noble twang thing in the finish that seems metallic, though this was the bottle version. Just ok. I prefer the prior formulation as a pile style beer.

Fruity and clean and I really enjoyed this - surprised to see it here as cream ale but I don’t really understand that style anyways.

On tap at the Charlotte, NC airport. Yellow, heady pour. Slight haze. Big citrus hop aroma, which is unusual for a Blonde...Unless I was misinformed of what I was drinking. Toasted bread. Light to medium body. Same big citrus hop finish with roasted sweet malts below. It is more like an IPA.

Pours clear golden with white head. Light malt aroma with slight hops and some yeast. Flavor is light malt with some citrus and biscuit malt.

Bottle into glass at the beach in Nc. Very pale straw color w white head. Corn aroma. Bitter indistinguishable hop taste. No real creaminess. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a light golden color. It has the taste of grass, with corn, and faint floral elements. It has a clean finish with a bit of an astringent bite.

On tap at Tobacco Road. Go hoos! Crisp clean dry. More presence and flavor than the full steam IPA I just had if that’s telling you anything.

Alright...eh...won't buy again. Bitter on the back of the tongue. Doesn't taste like a cream ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear golden yellow from the bottle with fluffy white head. Aroma is clean malt and earthy hops. Taste has a weird iron metallic note that just grows the more you drink it. No bueno.

Got a six pack while on vacation. Pours a pale golden yellow color, with an inch of white foam. Aroma of some malt sweetness, and a bit lemony, minimal hops. Taste is grainy malt taste, with some mild lemon at the end. Palate on the lighter side, medium body, crisp and clean aftertaste. Overall, not great but ok.
