Pumpkin and spice are the primary aromas. Pours a clear amber with a thin lasting white head and no lacing. The tastes is spice dominate. Cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice with hints of pumpkin. Medium-light body with crisp carbonation. Overall, ok but I have had more balanced pumpkin ales.

Aroma: Pumpkin is a little obscured by nutmeg, ginger and clove, but the spices are very pleasant. Appearance: Still copper body with a ring of bone coloured head. Flavor: Really quite gingery and sharp; flavors seem at war instead of in harmony. The ginger wins. Palate: Light body, slick texture, flat carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: An uneven showing. Thanks to my friend Robert for bring a bottle back from his travels. HighlanderOne (1330) - York, SC via NJ, South Carolina, USA - OCT 22, 2013

12 oz. bottle from SoHo Organic Market, Elizabeth City, NC. Pours yellowish-orange with a quick white head. Roasted pumpkin with light pumpkin pie spices on the nose. Good pumpkin flavor with muted cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and allspice. Finishes clean with only traces of the spices clinging to the palate. One of the better pumpkin beers I have tried. From a 12 bottle served in Buxton NC. Pumpkin pie spice aroma. Pours orange gold with an off white head. Flavors of cinnamon, cloves and allspice with a hint of ginger. Malty with a crisp dry finish. HopHead3075 (1) - - OCT 13, 2013 does not count
12oz bottle poured into a snifter. The aroma took me by surprise because it came off a little more floral than pumpkin. Appearance, poured a nice copper color with minimal head. Taste is slightly pumpkin. Even the spice is pretty insignificant. I like the lighter mouthfeel, but the flavor is a little lacking. I like that is not overly sweet life a lot of pumpkin beers, but it leaves a little too be desired in full pumpkin flavor. Overall, I would drink it again, but it’s not my go-to fall seasonal. Bought from Winslow’s on 09/30/13. Pumpkin pie with cinammon on the nose. I can see the whipped topping but cannot smell it. Orange hue with off-white mostly diminishing head with normal clarity. Virtually no lacing. Heavy bitter cinammon and spice up front with more nutmeg on the finish. Fizzy on the palate, light body.
