COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This crisp, dry ale uses cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger brewed with real pumpkin and a blend of North American and British malts to give Mom’s pumpkin pie some serious competition. A fall favorite skillfully brewed by Foothills.

Date: September 02, 2012
Mode: Draft
Source: Foothills, Winston-Salem
Appearance: clear copper, fine beige head
Aroma: big pumpkin spice aroma, lots of cinnamon and nutmeg but not too much of either
Flavor: sweet caramel malt flavor, plenty of cinnamon but tempered by the sweetness, hint of pumpkin, other spices round it out
Overall: a lot bigger and more assertive on the spices than the original, now it just needs more pumpkin

Bottle. Clear orange beer with very thin head. Lots of perfumy aroma, heavy cloves and nutmeg -- a little too much. More released in the taste. Overall okay, but too much of the spice to be great.

Draft at VBGB in Charlotte. Clear light amber color. Aroma of spice > gourd. Taste is similar.

Fairly light for a pumpkin beer but this is good enough for the style. Some weird aftertastes

Weak aroma of spice particularly nutmeg, very fizzy, with a caramel colour. Nice spicy taste with a strong nutmeg taste. Spicy palate.

icehawk (834) - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, USA - OCT 4, 2013
Hints of spice, but mostly vegative and pilsener aroma. Light, fairly thin mouthfeel.

Bottle from Justin. Thanks bro! Aroma is nice...nutmeg, ginger, allspice etc and some pumpkin in the nose. Flavor loses pumpkin and any sign of fullness (very thin), but the spice stays about 70% of the nose. Effervescent and somewhat satisfying as a lawnmower beer. Otherwise, fair beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours light clear amber medium tan head. Nose is full of spices with clove, pumpkin, and nutmeg. Medium sweet taste. Medium-light body, dry spiced finish, thin texture. Ok overall.

Nice crystal clear light amber pour, with s thin off white head. Aroma is pumpkin pie spice with baked pumpkin. Taste is mostly the the same, with the spices taking front seat and pumpkin in the background. Not much hop taste. Light-medium body, average carbonation. Really it is over-spiced in my opinion. Not bad.. but not great.
