Wow, what a great IPA. Beautiful color, full aroma, great hop kick without being overly bitter. Great floral and pine notes, with a bit of citrus. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brilliant orange with a creamy white head. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

Aroma: pine and citrus hops with the distinctive back fruit notes of simcoe, grainy coop malt.

Taste: assertive mineral sharpness that has a bitter and drying lingering finish, bready malt, citrus rind hops.

Nice quality bottle label. Wasn’t careful, pop lid for a gusher, heheheh. Nice big rocky head fer sher. Somewhat cloudy and uncivilized looken. What else can be said except that this is one big fat nasty nellie terribly on style IPA with a tad of astringentness attached. Big dull whack in the palate.

sloth (2895) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - MAY 15, 2017
Small off white head with fair retention, no lace. Lightly hazy coper hued ale. Mild nose, citrus, light grain. Body is light with a sufficient carbo level. Dry malts, citrusy hops, light pine and a touch fruity. Fairly dry finish with a tame bite. Fairly middlin. 12oz,ers from some grocery store in S.C.

Jabah (474) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - APR 19, 2017
Grabbed in a pick-your-own mixpack at Publix during recent Myrtle Beach visit. Not as hoppy as expected, based on the 78 IBU printed on the label. Leans toward the sweet side...balance could be better. Has potential, but not quite living up to it’s name.

malvrich (319) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 4, 2017
3 month old bottle > Shaker. A: Poured to a short, quickly falling head atop dirty orange body. S: Light citrus and pine scent with faint sour cherry and caramel. T: Very bitter with citrus and pith. Heavy grapefruit and pine. Light toasted bread and caramel sweetness. Nice balance. M: Medium body with low carbonation. Tastes resinous but feels clean going down. Refreshing and drinkable. O: A N.C. IPA mainstay. Very good overall and widely available at a nice price.

Tap at Darryl’, Greensboro. Colour is slightly cloudy orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, citrus, hops and malts. Pretty nice.

oobawa (1301) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 27, 2017
Nice old-school West Coast IPA, less concerned with citric niceties than with brutal bitterness. Caramel-grainy malts hint at a lingering sweet side but quickly give up the IBU fight, leading to a resinous, clingy fade. Tasty.

BelgianBeerGal (4038) - Panama City, Florida, USA - JAN 14, 2017
Draft at Mellow Mushroom Chattanooga with Annette and Kirk. Fairly classic non-west coast IPA. Moderate bitterness with it meting over the top. Great malt balance. Easy drinking and enjoyable IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a deep, cloudy orange almost brass wiith a thin white head. It’s more malt than hops in aroma that ends with taste. It has a medium to heavy hops with light sweetness. The body is light to medium with somewhat sticky. The bitterness hangs around after you’ve taken a sip and almost gives you a dry mouth feel. Odd IPA and not for a good reason.

2.9
Drjohnrock (761) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 31, 2016
Twelve ounce bottle from mixed 6 pack bought at Village Market (Harris Teeter’s yuppie division), Johns Island, South Carolina, tasted on July 19, 2016. Hazy orange/yellow color, moderate aroma of citrus, resin and hops in decreasing order of intensity, unbalanced flavor that favors the resin with the hops even less prevalent than in the nose. Hard to believe this is 78 IBU. The name is spectacularly inaccurate.
