Bottle, with a big black pour. In this description it says ruby red but let me tell you, its big and black. First taste is perhaps a little too much personality, then it starts to grow on you. Yes, gets a little more friendly with its burnt dark beer attitude. Malty, perhaps some aspects of super dark bitter chocolate. Perhaps even a tad of black strong coffee but you couldn’t say its a coffee beer. Yes, in the end a]its a pretty even handed porter that never really treads into baltic porter territory, just a good even handed porter that wants to kick you in the ass and be large and in charge but never quite gets there. Even handed and enjoyable. thegreenrooster (4377) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 25, 2016
Pour is a near black with a large tan head. Aroma is a rich roasted malt without being over the top and I also get some chocolate and ever so slight coffee. Flavor is more of the same with a nice roasted malt with some bitter bakers chocolate. Pretty solid everyday porter. Decent flavor without being an over the top attempt. weihenweizen (3751) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JUN 12, 2016
On tap at P&P Charleston. Translucent dark brow with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty good lacing. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, and a little caramel. drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - APR 17, 2016
4/17/16. 12oz bottle from Craft on Draft. Wow, I wonder how many times I have skipped this one figuring I had already rated it. Good beer, too, so a shame to boot! Black pour under a small tan head, good lacing. Light aroma, touches of chocolate, dry dark malts, cream and light caramel. Great flavor, smooth as all hell, milk chocolate, cream, just a touch of roasted malts and dryness. Balanced, not too bitter, and quite tasty. hopdog (12486) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 11, 2016

Bottle from Whole Foods Arlington. Dark brown body with mocha head. Nose is caramel, chocolate and coffee. Taste is also coffee and chocolate and quite nice. Good stuff really all around. Creamy texture. Very smooth, with nice espresso in the finish - Porter to the People! aracauna (3592) - Georgia, USA - APR 3, 2016
Not the richest of porters but there’s a nice cocoa and very light roast that make it a solid porter. jw0406 (1266) - atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 5, 2016
12 oz bottle pours a dark brown color with a nice white head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, light hops. Full bodied, very nice.

Pours dark brown with tan head. Aroma is nutty with Java and dark fruits. Flavor is very smoky with plenty of creamy Java action. Get it on.

Appearance: Pours a very dark brown, near black body with a half-inch, dark beige foam cap.
Smell: Heavy on the roast, cocoa and chewy caramel backed with a soft, subtle fruitiness.
Taste: Bitterish flavor of cocoa powder and roasted malt with a vein of dark caramel sweetness. Slightly nutty. A touch of hop bitterness. Earthy, espresso-y taste. PP finishes out fairly bitterish and roasty.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Decent, drinkable.
