Yeah, just a darn good imperial stout. Chocolate roasty some dark fruit. Not the thickest body for such a big bruiser, but definitely a drinkable imperial. Good show. oobawa (1416) - Tennessee, USA - FEB 21, 2017
Giant mocha nose, and the pour is infinite black with a dark brown head. Bittersweet chocolate on top of espresso, with a Hershey syrup backbone and a dry, clingy bitter fade. Dark cherry and raisin develop as it warms, but the finish refuses to grow cloy. Nice, but a bit boozy. Needs age. (2/2011) kidobutai (690) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - FEB 20, 2017
Poured from tap as part of a flight at Foothills Brewpub. Decent lacing and head, black but not thick in appearance. Milk chocolate aroma, vanilla, like hot cocoa. Delicious. weihenweizen (3831) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - FEB 11, 2017
On tap at Timothy’s. Black with medium beige head. Aroma is nice chocolate, medium body, light carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is dark chocolate with dry finish. koleminer20 (3599) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JAN 21, 2017
Shared with ebone1988 and Gus at Gus’ Birthday V1 and The Topaz Turns 100k Spaghettogether. For this fucking book. 22 oz bottle, 2014 vintage. The pour is a decent black with a thicker light khaki ring and a light hit of head. The aroma isn’t good. Bitter roasted malt and hoos are what greet you. There is a light alcohol and a touch of chocolate. It’s bitter and not chocolatey. The flavor is just not that good. There is a light roasted malt, a hint of molasses and humongous bitter hops. The bitterness throughout his beer is such a turn off. The chocolate is nonexistent. The bitter finish makes me slightly upset. The mouth feel is thin and watery with a brighter carbonation and a lingeringly bitter roasted malt on the finish. No thanks. Thanks for blowing it, Foothills.

Bottle share @ Hampton Inn pre-DLD 2016. Pour is black with a very small off-white head. Notes of milk chocolate, cocoa powder, licorice, and roasted malt. Finish has some added molasses and toffee. BrettTaylor (776) - Radford, Virginia, USA - DEC 3, 2016
Pours a very dark brown with huge milk chocolate colored head. Aroma of cocoa nibs/cocoa powder, vanilla. Taste follows suit. Had this with chocolate brownie white chocolate chip cookies and what a pairing. SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 24, 2016
Special release 2014. 22 ounces February 2014 bottle shared with SlovakSniper, thanks for the share. Aroma: strong chocolate, coffee beans, spices, tobacco, cinnamon, oxydation. Taste and palate: full body, lots of chocolate, moderate sweetness, light smokiness and subtle acidity in the finish. Overall: good but wonder how it was more fresh. We can see that time aged this one and probably not in a good way. Not too much but we can definitely see that it’s oxidized. Wish I could have tasted it more fresh. Still really good. A beer for smoked/tobacco/chocolate beer fans.
