Bomber. Pours black dark brown medium head. Aroma mostly of chocolate and I pick up hints of licorice and bourbon. Taste is high sweet. Full smooth creamy body, sweetness balanced by taste of alcohol. Good overall. Doofgoblin (513) - Chevy Chase, Washington DC, USA - OCT 9, 2015
This is a good stout...lots of chocolate and coffee with a biting edge...the aroma is strong and the taste follows suit...finish is bright enough with the hops...but a wallop of malts will slay those taste buds... and what about those ladybugs? they just want to win... Pours a nice thick creamy black, with a small tan head. Aroma is maple syrup, and candied sugar, with light roast. Flavor is very balanced, with all the same smells of the aroma coming out. It tastes very balanced and smooth, sweet like pancakes and maple syrup. There is some chocolate in the mix as well. Very good stout. vtafro (7444) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUN 7, 2015
Bottle. Black pour with tan head. Roasted, chocolate and dark aromas. Similar chocolate and roasted malt flavors. Cybercat (6155) - Georgia, USA - MAY 28, 2015
Pours rich coffee brown with a very thick and rather persistent frothy tan head. Aroma has roast malt, molasses, mocha, and subtle nutty tones. Flavor has broad strokes of roast malt, coffee, semi-sweet chocolate, and molasses with nutty and hay hints. Texture has OK body and some good fizz. Give a hoot!

22 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have mild roasted malts, dark chocolate, caramel, just a hint of coffee, mild to moderate roasty bitterness, a solid straight forward stout. Tmoney99 (14985) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 15, 2015
Bottle. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted dark chocolate aroma. Medium to heavy sweet dark malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet of moderate to long duration. Moderate to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer. shigadeyo (3790) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 14, 2015
Aroma of semi-sweet chocolate with undertones of licorice, chickory, and heavily caramelized malt. Deep brown color with a minimal beige crown. Dry cocoa, caramelized malt, roasted barley, moderate bitterness with a tinge of mint. Medium body, well-carbomated. Quite good; reminds me of a nice Robust Porter. nimbleprop (8761) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAR 21, 2015
22oz bottle from Connecticut Ave pours a murky black with some thin, tan head. Nose is quite meaty, some BBQ sauce, molasses, licorice, malt, toast, some dark chocolate. Flavor follows right along, molasses, roast, a little mushroom, toast, licorice, burnt caramel, light smoke. Full, meaty finish. A nice, chewy stout. hman43 (1777) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - FEB 28, 2015
It pours black, lively carbonation and a dark brown head. There area aromas of roasted malts, chocoalte, and a bit of wood. The roasted malt flavors are dominate which gives it a smokey quality to it. There is a bit of chocolate with a bit of wood as well. It has a moderately bitter finish.
