pour is a crystal clear golden orange with a rather tight creamy white head. The nose is pretty decent, a little heavy on the grain but adds notes of doughy bread and and some leafy green hops. The taste is slightly more balanced but still a touch heavy on the grain. Grain, doughy malts, some sweet caramel and honey transitions to some green leafy hop notes. The finish is faintly dry, highly carbonated and a bit rough on the back of the throat. Solid pilsner. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - MAR 16, 2012
22oz bottle that my brother brought back from Charlotte, thanks Jeff! Pours a crystal clear, golden colored body with an inch thick, dense, creamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is grainy with a light, pale sweetness as well as some light lemon-grass, cracker, and a few florals. Flavor is straw and grass up front with a light lemon, a few florals, and a bit of a crackery malt. Gets a bit grainy in the middle with a light sweetness to the pils malts before the straw and lemon-grass dry this out with a medium-light bitterness. Lengthy aftertaste following a light-medium, clean, crisp body and a moderately lively carbonation. Overall, a solid pils. Crisp, clean, refreshing, and easy drinking with a solid flavor. Well balanced and enjoyable. SSSteve (4006) - - MAR 15, 2012

Draft. Nice golden pils with a small white head. Clean aroma with caramel malt. Balanced, hoppy German pils with the hops shining through the finish. Good stuff. rondphoto (4491) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - FEB 25, 2012
Medium amber with a light head and lace. Very well done. similar to Belhaven lager - sweet caramel malt well-balanced by light floral hops. Really nothing to it, but I found myself drinking it easily and comfortably. Quite enjoyable.

While Pilsner is not my favorite style it is hard not to appreciate how well this beer is made. Low in bitterness it is crisp and refreshing and is a great beer to convert the masses to the craft brew world which is all you can hope for. Had on tap in my shop in Wake Forest, NC. However, the newly released bottles are almost as good! rangerred (989) - Johnson City, Tennessee, USA - JAN 13, 2012
Had on tap at Mellow Mushroom in Johnson City
Arrived a clear medium yellow with a decent head and good retention. Had more caramel malt taste that a lot of pilsners I have had. Bitterness was moderate with a crisp fairly dry finish. Overall an ok pils but not one of my favorites.

On draft at the brewpub, looks like a classic plisner. Smells like a clean crisp plisner. Tastes like a cheap slightly above average plisner, BiochemProf (179) - Boone, North Carolina, USA - OCT 23, 2011
From sampler flight at Foothills. Nice clean spicy saaz hop bitterness. Very well balanced pilsner. hellbilly (3247) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - OCT 18, 2011

A is pils grainy, lemon, a little grassy, herbal, peppery hops
F has a dank-like at, peppery dry finish, a little bubblegum, grain
Body is a bit thick but cripsness and spice help out
