Man, this dog’s got some bite. Quite the hoppy brew, almost too much for an American Pale ale, still, it wasn’t bad either. I like Fordham beers. This one was kind of bitey for a concert type affair, but wasn’t lifeless either. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - APR 9, 2006
(Draught) Pours a clear amber body with a small white head. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Flavor of spruce and toasted malt with a bitter finish. LiebeBier (808) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - NOV 13, 2005
Draft - A hoppy West Coast version of the style. Served a bit flat, and a tad too cold. Otherwise quite good. scraff (2121) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 14, 2005
Savage Mill location - Hazy orange, lasting creamy off white head. Very soft aromas of citric fruit rinds and caramel. Well bittered flavors up front with citrus hops following through from start to finish. Medium bodied, pillow soft carbonation, bitter finish. Way too one dimensional (at least this batch) for an APA. IMO, more malt would do absolute wonders here...

Nice, hoppy pale with enough malting to keep it from going over the top. Pours a dark orange with a lot of floral in the nose. Lasting head. Thirst quencher.

Draft at the 2005 Maryland Brewers Spring Fest... Orange ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Citrusy nose with hints of sweat and wet leather. Dry and moderately bitter flavor with mild grapefruit. Medium-bodied with a dry, fizzy mouthfeel. Lengthy, bitter, dry finish. Hmright (101) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - MAY 15, 2005
Tap at Rams head. Nice Head, and good sweet taste. Typical bitterness, but nothing else stood out egajdzis (6589) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2005
Poured an amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus fruits and toffee malts. Taste was predominantly sweet caramel malts, and a lengthy bitter finish. One of the highlights from yesterday. billk (353) - Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA - MAY 5, 2005
Tap. Cloudy amber/orange w nice beige head that fell fairly quick. Aroma is lt/med roast malt w grapefruit & moderate hops. Flavor is lt/med rst malt, sour grapefruit & moderate hops. Moderately bitter w good bitter finish, slight malt sweetness. There was a nice spicy/peppery note in the finish when it warmed up and was near empty. Medium bodied. jgb9348 (6266) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 23, 2004
Amber coloured body with a small off-white head. Aroma of slight floral hops with a predominately malt kick. Medium-bodied; Subtle acidic qualities (of lemon, vinegar) are noticeable in a rather one-dimensional hop/malt combination. Aftertaste lasts a while, but isn’t complex at all. Overall, a decent APA, but not a ’traditional’ one. I sampled this on ’pseudo-draught’ at the Old Dominion Brew Festival 2004 on 27-June-2004 in Ashburn, Virginia.
