COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tavern Ale is top-fermented, making it an ale. It is a medium to full-bodied beer with a hoppy aroma. Tavern Ale is served unfiltered resulting in a hazy or cloudy appearance. It has a full malt finish with a well rounded bitterness. Tavern Ale is an American Pale Ale because of the large amounts of American hops which lends a distinct, almost citrusy flavor to the beer. Therefore, our Tavern Ales is quite different from the "spicy" or "herby" flavor of European hops.

Beautiful light red colour with a thin head. Mild but deep hop flavour. Supremely drinkable. Definitely worth a buy.

Aug 2012 Bottle. I recorded a number-only rating at the time unfortunately. I may rate it properly another time.

weaselkenievil (1609) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2014
Bottle at home. Light reddish gold like a Star Wars moon, thin off white head. Aroma of hops, chocolate and caramel hints. Flavour some toffee, soy sauce, a bit of spice, some oaty malty stuff, got better as it warmed up. Not bad.

ttoadee (1587) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAR 9, 2014
Clear copper, slight off white head. Nose is earthy hops. Bittersweet. Middle is caramel and earth, slight spice. Finish is medium spruce bitterness. Something seems to be not in the right place.

Pivni, York 26 Jan 13. Gyldenbrun. Litt uklar. Lavt skum med litt lacing. God fruktaroma. Smaken er bringebær. Svakt syrlig bitter ettersmak. Bra - men litt kjedelig.

Pours a slightly cloudy and bubbly orange copper colored beer with a large off-white head. Aroma is a very green hop with some citrus grapefruit and pine notes. Taste has a very hoppy tang to it dry with some malt in the background. Finishes with earth type flavors along dry hop finish.

Flaska. Guldfärgad med vitt skum som snart lägger sig. Arom: Smörkola, sura frukter och kräftspad (!?). Gräs, krusbär, karamell och (åter) kräftspad i smaken. Mycket märklig APA. Mycket märklig öl överlag. Gott? Tja, jag vet faktiskt inte.
