The cloudy cream orange-brown appearance told me this was not a typical APA. The head was firm, and the aroma subdued but slightly hoppy. The mouthfeel was exceptionally smooth, especially for an APA. Slightly sweet, but most definately malty, it balances well with the hops. Excellent! Pours dark straw, with medium head. Aroma of huge hops, citrus, fruit, malt, and spiciness. Tastes hoppy, fruity, malty, with a crisp finish. Very nice brew. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 6, 2002
Coppery body, good citrusy pine aroma. Good bite on flavor, slightly chewy with clean bitter aftertaste. Good stuff for hopheads, but not so overwhelming as to scare away others. urbnhautebourg (997) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - OCT 1, 2002
Served on the nitrogen tap, it is delicious. Fruity, in the West Coast style. The lower carbonation and hopping rates encourages all-day consumption, which is rather recherche. MilkmanDan (1942) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - OCT 13, 2002
Very fruity, lots of grapefuit hops. Nice and creamy, though it was served a bit too cold for the style. Lots o' hops, with plenty of malts for balance.

Nice amber hued body, small creamy head. Hoppy floral aroma, taste is citrusy and sweet. Palate is smooth, with a dry finish. Good. jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - JUN 27, 2004
Cloudy amber -orange witha small fine paricled white head. Hoppy piney aroma is balanced nicely by some malts. Crisp big hop kick with just enough malts to keep things in order. Medium bodied. A good beer to give to folks who claim to hate bitter beers. nuplastikk (6514) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 5, 2008
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2008 12oz bottle. Medium amber color, filtered appearance, contrary to the commercial description on this page. Displays a very nice hop bouquet and overall hoppy enjoyability. Well balanced and crisp, with a sweet, hoppy aftertaste. Beese (3306) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2013
Bottle from the One Crown, Watford on 1 August 2013.
Poured a copper colour, with a slight haze and and a dense off white head. Aroma of pine and floral hops mixed with caramel sweetness. Citrus flavours with biscuit and cereal. Ends with dry grain and bitter hops.
