On tap at Forest & Main over the weekend, now following up with a growler poured into a Forest & Main pint glass.
Pours a clear, light copper color with a nice wheat head. Good retention and a bit of lacing on the way down. Collar throughout.
The nose begins with a light lactic presence, coming through to a nice earthy character and a bit of bread. Mild spice in the background. Flavor is enhanced by crisp carbonation and a dry finish. A bit leafy through the finish. Middle is light bread and a touch of acidity. Mild earth and funk.
Light and quite drinkable. The tartness really enhances the beer and the drinkability. A really nice brew. I hope they make this one again.
draft at the anniversary party. dark pour with lasting head. bretty nose and taste but not very complex. you could drink a ton of this with no ill effects. very refreshing, very farmhouse. callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 25, 2013
Glowing hazy orange-amber body, moderate sized white head, nice sheet-like lacing. Nose is lightly fruity with white wine notes, some citric hops, and mild must. Flavor increases the presence of lightly spciy saison yeast to complement a nice gentle fruity funky saison. Medium to light bodied with gentle carbonation and a refreshing finish.
