[ Bottle ][ 750mL ][ Trade ][ Trade ][ Tired Hands Stemware ][ 7.12.14 ]
>> Low haze straw pour, good carbonation, small head, spotty lace. Nose is grassy hoppy, orange juice, flowers, flash of soy, nice golden smoked character as well, surprising. Taste is bone dry, a tad papery, plus very hoppy making it astringent. But it is fairly nice and the aroma is spot on saison with house yeast. Much better than when released.

Pours clear straw with an orange hue and nice white head. The aroma brings some apple and sweet Belgian like yeast. The Brett does not seem to have developed as I am craving for some mature funky or barnyard notes. The flavor brings some sweet and bitter clear wheat like malt flavors with a bitter slightly hoppy ending. hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 27, 2014
750ml bottle. Poured a hazy golden color with an averaged sized head. Citrus, some grassiness/straw, some funk, and cereal. Huhzubendah (3753) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 26, 2014
Another saison shared by yourefragile. Thanks Michael.
The beer is pale yellow, mildly hazy, sporting a half inch or so of head. Aromas include grains, cereal oats, hay, a touch of basement. Some brett funk comes through in the flavor profile, but overall, I found this beer a bit disappointing. Hints of citrus fruit with warming alcohol in the finish. Mediocre... callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2013
Lightly hazy golden-straw colored body, medium sized white head, spotty lacing. Lightly musty hay, soft cereals, some stonefruits, mellow yeast spice. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, a refreshing balance of sweet malts and dry yeasty characteristics. I do wish the brett would funk this up some. Holding my remaining bottle for a while to see what happens.

Bottle 58/204 shared by Tommy, thanks! Pours a hazy yellow with a medium white head that leave light lacing. Aroma is really spicy with some overpowering coriander. This feels really fresh, though. Taste is spicy to the point of being bitter with all the other flavors/aromatics you expect from a saison. Quite a potent herbal finish. I must echo the sentiment that the brett is really shy/underdeveloped at this time. Body was medium. A nice one again by Forest & Main, I would be curious to try the next iteration. czar (9412) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 12, 2013
bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro! pours hazy pale golden with a nice white cap, some retention and lacing. coriander, herbs, light sulfure, lactic notes, minty, dusty - young bretty presence, hint of soap, pils, wheat, untoasted cereals. lively yet soft carbonation, light body - silky, dry grassy and very herbal finish. underdevelop bretts and not really complex but quenching and nicely crafted. tom10101 (6251) - Quebec, CANADA - DEC 12, 2013
Bottle (750 ml). Thanks to Michael for this one! Hazy yellow with a small white head and little lacing. Aroma is mostly herbal with citrus, yeast, light spices and underlying brettanomyces. Taste is also herbal with spices, citrus, yeast and light brettanomyces. Herbal finish. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly oily and dry mouthfeel. Decent/good herbal Saison. Brettanomyces are shy. Drinkable. Theydon_Bois (20602) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 7, 2013
Bottle shared at Dadsgiving, thanks to whomever brought this along, 24/11/13.
Clear golden with a moderate off white head.
Nose is tarte fruit, mandarin, citric dipped straw, lemon curd, farmy.
Taste comprises orange pith, yeast, light brett, citric, straw, barnyard, light touch of the soap suds.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy conclusion.
Decent enough saison, let down a little by the old soapy enemy. blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - NOV 28, 2013
Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Light flowery and faint funky saison yeast, with some light sweetness, wheat, and a relatively dry finish. Not bad.
