A refreshing lager coloured ale, with a crisp citrus bite and aromas of fruit, has a dry, fresh hoppy finish. The perfect accompaniment for a summer’s day.

FatPhil (16893) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 15, 2016
Draught (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Real Ale Festival 2016)
Straw coloured, small loose head. Sweet aroma, almost corny, but not unpleasant. Some sharp berry aspects later. Watery in the mouth, but not weak and fizzy or anything, still a real-ale feel. Tastes a bit minerally too. Malts are weak. Golds being golds, I guess.

Cask at gbbf day 5. Aroma is sweet grains, diacetyl, buttery, grassy hop. Light golden yellow coloured pour with a sticky white head. Flavor is spicy hop, semi sweet grains, honey, butter. Palast us light and moderate carbonation. Not a fan of this.

Cask at GBBF 2015, day 5 - London. Pours Clear yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Nice biscuity pale malt nose with nips of rindy lemon and straw. Light sweet flavor with citric hops, pale grain, biscuit, hay. Light in body and finely carbonated; good condition. Nicely balanced finish, dry, with bitter hay, more biscuits, rindy lemon. Solid gold.

imdownthepub (15130) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2012
Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern, Oxford. Pale gold with white head. Light, sharp, hoppy and fruity beer, fresh as morning, nicely crisp, bright and bitter. There is a slight pineapple note, biting with a lemon background, a hint of cereal in the malt. A nicely done beer.

Ungstrup (38238) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 18, 2011
Cask at GBBF 2010. A hazy yellow beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops. The flavor is sweet with odd notes of spices, that I don’t fancy, leading to a dry and spicy finish.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2010, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.

Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, citrus, sour vomit notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100804]

Svesse (8731) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 11, 2010
(Cask at GBBF, London Earl’s Court, 4 Aug 2010) Golden colour with foamy, white head. Fruity, slightly malty nose with notes of grass and citrus. Fruity taste with grass, citrus and grainy malt. Below medium body, with balanced sweetnass and a light, citrussy bitterness. Refreshing and summery.

Cask Handpump at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 04/08/2010 Floral hop aroma. Clear golden coloured and hoppy with some citrus flavour. A hint of dryness in a bitter full malt finish.

oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 24, 2010
[email protected] Golden colour, small head. Aroma is vegetables, some nuts, mild floral and fruity notes along with bready malts as well as some slight honey. Flavour is very much the same. Rather balanced and pleasant.

Dear Hartland Blonde, you are much more delicate of a lady than your crudely drawn pump handle would have us believe. You are clear, golden yellow, with a sweet aroma, and a slightly doughy, lemony flavor. Well, with that in mind, maybe you might be a bit of a tart, but so are some of the most refreshing ladies I know.
