Bottle from Tuckers Maltings or Darts Farm. Hazy golden, quite big white head. Hoppy nose with a touch of lime. Malty with lemony hops, and hoppy flavours that remind me of good aromatic hops in a (south) German Pilsener.

August 2016 - Cask handpull at GBBF 2016, as ’Forge Litehouse’. Golden yellow or orange, foamy white head leaves thick lacing. Aroma is lime, cheesy, some mango. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is biscuity malt with lime, perfume, floral, quite drying and astringent. Decent. (3.4)

Cask at GBBF 2016. Pours gold with a frothy, white head. Pale grain and biscuit in the nose, with lemony accents. Light sweet flavour with doughy white bread, more biscuit, lemon, hay. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Nicely balanced finish, with more biscuit, straw, pale bready malts. Enjoyable golde.

Draught (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Real Ale Festival 2016)
Dull orange. Slightly sweet malty aroma, which is quite pleasant. Anna likes it more, I’m not up for hot goldes any more. Some honey in taste, but it’s all rather bland. Nothing actually wrong, just boring.
