500 ml bottle purchase at the LCBO at Rideau and King Edward (Ottawa) on January 3, 2017. Black, small head. Roasted coffee aroma, nice maltiness. Light malted coffee taste, notes of toasted bread, bitter cereal finish. Not a coffee love porter! CRock (238) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 18, 2016
This was okay. Thick off white head with the obvious coffee notes. Nothing spectacular. Itzjerm (2794) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - NOV 2, 2016
A harsh coffee stout. The low abv makes hard to balance the coffee grains. Almost a intense leftover coffee grain beer. Say what? Say maybe not. A cold cup of joe with light hop cream and beer.

Freshly ground full city+ coffee beans aroma with some resinous hops and black grain vanilla and mocha accents. Opaque black under a lasting, ruddy beige sheet that laces the glass. Sweet vanilla, toasted hazelnut, and then medium roast coffee flavour up front, followed by almost assertively bitter coffee and hops. Faint red fruit accents with some non-hazelnuttiness. Medium full body, medium to moderate carbonation, almost dry finish. rejtable (2621) - Ontario, CANADA - JUL 9, 2016
Bottle. Pours black with some tan head and lots of lacing. Notes are musty, lots of coffee, some chocolate. Medium bitter, medium sweet. Creamy body with lively carbonation.

2016-04-01. Black body with a massive foamy tan head. 3+ Aroma is quite dry and roasty, lightly funky. Flavour is dry and bitter, coffee roast, dusty malt, finishes dry. Carbonation and dry overall impression suggest a possible infection and/or over attentuation. Average bodied palate, effervescent carbonation. 3+ 7/4/6-7/3/14-15 Bottle from the LCBO, Toronto. blankboy (7662) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 19, 2016
[Bottle (500ml) shared with GregClow, jercraigs & mabel] Pours amber-brown with a large lasting fluffy beige head. Aroma of toasted malt and coffee along with vegetal and metal notes. Flavour’s a bit better: Roasted malt, coffee, light hops and a dry finish. Average bodied. Seems a touch infected, just O.K. JoeMcPhee (9426) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 27, 2016
Deep black pour with a thick tan head. The nose is of cocoa and
roasted coffee with a touch of light fruit. Some bitter herbs and a
touch of soft pepper. There’s a touch of coconut and some rich
sweetness. Nice beer. Less ashy than many coffee beers but a nice one.

bottle 5.6%. Poured opaque brown with a big mocha head. Aroma of bitter astringent coffee. Medium body, over carbonated with a very dry mouthfeel. Flavour of roasted/burnt malt, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, nothing sweet about this beer, kinda metallic. Randy4Beer (513) - - FEB 13, 2016
Fittingly, it is the colour of un-creamed coffee. Off-white head. Lots of coffee grinds meet the nose on the pour. Palate is full of coffee bitterness, combined with the usual porter tastes. Very tasty, but a bit too much of the inherent qualities of black coffee, for me to rate it higher.
