At the brewery - served in a stone-mug with a very big head. Taste is very fresh, slightly floral. Lacks noteable bitterness. Also referred to as "Helles" by the waitress (see picture as well) which is a bit confusing, since they have a Helles as well on their list (referred to as Vollbier). Tap at the brewpub. Clear golden body, medium white head. Aroma of malts and hops. Taste is neutral to slightly bitter. Hops and malts. Medium body and carbonation.
Not bad, clear pils.
Bottle - Clear yellow colour, medium white head with average retention and fine lacing. Grainy aromas with some fine flowery hops. Taste is clean malty with some bread and crushed cereals and gentle flowery and spicy hop bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation, crisp mouthfeel, fine hoppy finish. Nice german pilsner. Pale yellow color with white head. Aroma is laidback, grains and some fruity hops. Taste is pineapple, tangerines, quite sweet fruits. The fruits from the hops blend in with the grains quite well. Not bad, just a bit too sweet. KyotoLefty (10808) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 2, 2015
Taster at the breweryschank in the Market. Hazy gold with a fine, thick head fruity hop nose, lots of orange, some pineapple and cherry. Sweet and fruity, orange, mandarins, pineapple. Decent bitterness too, honey and biscuit. Silky. Low, low caronation.

Draught Sampler & extra Halbe courtesy of Braumeister, danke @Marktschänke, MÜ 2015/3. One of very few actuals Münich-made Pilsners in a hegemony of Helles. Whilst the reticent aroma does not betray its departure from the Helle regime, only offering some gentle noble hop meadow grasses and pollen, the onset is crisp, with a well-hopped flowery bitterness and grain husks. Further sips let in further hedgerow herbalistics, maybe even some border-crossing Tettnang spice to top off the milder Hallertauer working bees. Erzengel (9751) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - FEB 27, 2015
*Old rating, best before 20.05. (07). Bottle bought at the brewpub. Recht herbes, etwas scharfes Bier. Süffig, leicht malzig, lecker. rgf001 (325) - Austin, Texas, USA - FEB 20, 2015
At Marktschänke on tap. Aroma of grainy, sweet malt and low noble hops. minor moth ball off aroma. No DMS. Clear gold color with no head. Clean malt and hop flavor but a bit too sweet for German Pils. Balanced finish for a Pils. A bit more carbonation and noble hop aroma needed.
