COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The famous, highly popular strong Forst Beer. The special malts used and the specific production process help to create its unique caramel flavour. It is immensely, unforgettably satisfying from the first sip. Its dark colour and delicate hoppy notes evoke memories of the original strong beers and the traditional art of beer making in monasteries. Suggested serving temperature 7C.
Taste: Velvety with a distinctly malty feel and warm notes of roast, spicy caramel.
Flavour: An intense fragrance of roasted malt, refined with some discreet hoppy hints.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, maize gritz, hops.

Tap at a hole in the wall in Venice. One of the better beers from our Italy trip. Nice foam. Lots of caramel malt, quite sweet.

Bottle from Auchan supermarket, Bussolengo, Italy. A dark brown beer that has a bubbly white head. It has a very strong malt flavour, chocolate, rich red fruity and cherry notes followed by oak and vanilla on the warming burnt toffee finish.

Tasted 15/4/15 at Cantina Dello Zio Bramante, Manarola, Italy. BB 06.06.15. Poured a dark coppery amber with a one-finger light tan foamy head that retained well and laced OK. Carbonation high and fine. Aroma dominated by sweet malt plus a hint of sweet fruit; no obvious hops. Taste very malty and sweet with a hint of roasting and a hint of dark fruits; no real bitterness. Light to medium body. Smooth, clean, very sweet and with a syrupy mouth-feel. A lingering long sweetness on the finish. Nice.

deep reddish-brown color; sweet, caramel malt aroma; sweet, caramel malt flavor up front with nutty, mild dark fruit notes; semi bitter, bready finish; very well balanced and quite smooth; this is not quite a doppelbock, but it is a very enjoyable beer

Kita (1949) - Koper, SLOVENIA - APR 19, 2015
Draft in Cortina DAmpezzo. Clear brown color with small frothy off-white head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of caramel, light roasted malt, dried fruits and grassy hops. Taste starts with sweet caramel and nutty, follows by mild fruity acidity and bready with mild bitter finish. Medium body, syrupy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Pretty nice surprise from Forst...
