The famous, highly popular strong Forst Beer. The special malts used and the specific production process help to create its unique caramel flavour. It is immensely, unforgettably satisfying from the first sip. Its dark colour and delicate hoppy notes evoke memories of the original strong beers and the traditional art of beer making in monasteries. Suggested serving temperature 7°C.
Taste: Velvety with a distinctly malty feel and warm notes of roast, spicy caramel.
Flavour: An intense fragrance of roasted malt, refined with some discreet hoppy hints.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, maize gritz, hops.

330ml bottle [Thanks Bernd!]. Clear, copper-ish hazelnut colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, hints of caramel, dark, almost burnt caramel, a slightly nuttily touch, minimally strawy hoppy overtones. Taste is moderately sweet, dark and caramel malty, notes of malt lozenge, some caramel, a nuttily touch, bitter hoppy overtones with a minimally grassy touch. Well balanced, discreet, good.

The aroma is rich of dried figues and carob, caramelized malts and sweet. Tastes good as well. I’m surprised, didn’t expect something this nice from a cheap beer. I should have bought more!

Caramel and roasted, light brown, light/medium body, medium carbonation, taste similar to the aroma...refreshing and an industrial alternative.

On tap.

Forst Sixtus (Doppelbock, IT, 6.5%)
33 cl bottle. Mahogany-red color, big, thick creamy beige head, roasted smell. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel and burnt wood, a shadow of plum. Taste is sweetish with a prominent bitter end down the throat, smooth finish, average persistence, lighly warming. Medium to thick body, oily texture, average carbonation. Quite refined and appreciated, not a pure malt one btw.

Baramba (1038) - ITALY - DEC 2, 2015
Bottle. Brown with frothy beige head. Caramel aroma and flavour, some bitterness at the end

sonotono (266) - torino, ITALY - NOV 9, 2015
