COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The famous, highly popular strong Forst Beer. The special malts used and the specific production process help to create its unique caramel flavour. It is immensely, unforgettably satisfying from the first sip. Its dark colour and delicate hoppy notes evoke memories of the original strong beers and the traditional art of beer making in monasteries. Suggested serving temperature 7°C.
Taste: Velvety with a distinctly malty feel and warm notes of roast, spicy caramel.
Flavour: An intense fragrance of roasted malt, refined with some discreet hoppy hints.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, maize gritz, hops.

A very good beer for its style. I really like the colour and the overall flavour profile. Caramel like, Chocolate, burnt and tobacco are the main notes. A general sweetness which does not disturb.

Ottima birra, gusto deciso che accompagna bene salumi e formaggi saporiti. Come sempre meglio se spillata (bene) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bärnstensfärgad till ljusbrun öl med ett gulbeige skum. Doft av malt, bröd, mörka och torkade frukter och lättare jord och lövtoner. Detsamma återkommer i smaken. Ganska tunn kropp för sin alkoholhalt.

Dark brown with reddish hints. Average white head, ok retention and some lacing. Served way too cold, almost freezed, aroma was very much subdued but since the beer came out quite well while warming up i’m giving it a benefit. Roasted malts, slight coffe and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with very good balance. Caramel malts with maybe a slight hint of spiciness, roasted malts, hint of coffee and maybe some hints of dark fruits. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation, slightly creamy. Overall not too impressive flavourwise, but highly drinkable and very well balanced.

Fles. Jeugdsentiment.

peponi (1842) - Hannover, GERMANY - FEB 22, 2017
Aroma: crunchy bread skin, caramel, roasted malts. Appearance: brown color and creamy head. Taste: huge alcohol, very rough, some malty notes, hard to drink. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation. Overall: What a joke.

0.33l bottle. Malty aroma, roasted malts, caramel, coffee. Dark aber color, white head. Malty taste, caramel, light bitter, medium sweet. Medium body, watery texture, almost flat carbonation and malty bitter-sweet finish. Good.

ippopotamo36 (2353) - Rome, ITALY - NOV 9, 2016
Bottle directly from Merano-Italy, consumed in Kosovo. Dark caramel pour, vivid reddish highlights and frothy brownish foam. Nose: dry prunes, figs, marron glasses and caramel. A touch of almond pastry. Nice. Mouth: a bit unbalanced, far too sweet with an untuned bitter overall. It seems has more ABV than the label, honestly. Not bad, not a thrill either.

Roast, caramel, light oxidized. Dark chestnut, Amber cream. Sweet caramel, black roast base, light preserves, ok balance, slightly sweet sticky finish.
