(Very Important Pils).

A decent pils type beer from Italy. I like the brew type as it is not just a copy of the traditional pils beer, but rather it aims to stand alone. Very Important Pils is a very good attempt.

rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 2, 2014
330 ml can. BB 02/01/15. From the brewery in Forst (BZ), Italy.
Clear pale yellow colour with a small foamy white head. Dry papery malty aroma. The flavour is mild grassy bitterness, malt, paper and dryness. Quite useless one.

kermis (12869) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 17, 2014
Draft at Mosto, Matera. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of grain, light citrus hops and light malt. Flavor is light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.

peponi (1842) - Hannover, GERMANY - JUL 17, 2014
Aroma: almost nothing plus corn. Appearance: slightly hazy straw color, nice white head. Taste: low bitterness, artificial aftertaste, dry and watery. Palate: low body and high carbonation. Overall: It’s hard to call this beer as a pilsner, poor european lager.

oliodnb (662) - ITALY - APR 26, 2014
Very pale yellow, white head. Light aromas of caramel and pale malts, watery taste with minimal hops.

birrabier (8) - - FEB 10, 2014 does not count
Very pale, very clear. Nice fresh hoppy aroma. Quite pleasing, really. The taste has some more fresh hop flavor with a little sweet graininess as well. The finish is bitter as expected, but not as crisp and snappy as a great pils can be. Really a pretty solid beer, and more than just a notch above Forst’s other pale lagers.
