Bottle, 330 ml at O’Connors, Wien. Courtesy of Werckmeister. Pours orange, medium white head. Smoked, quite strong peat, leather, malty, some fruity notes, easy drinkable. Problem is not too much is going on besides peat, lacks complexity. Medium bodied. KingxDuke (6) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUL 8, 2017 does not count
Nice amber colour and medium foam.
Aromas of smoked malts, first thing that comes into my mind was an Isla whisky like Ardbeg. Also bread and caramel. Reminds me of smoked meat that you serve for easter (in Austria called "Geselchtes"). Slight grassy aromas as well.
Taste is also like a nice Isla whisky, just way easier to drink. Still a bit alcoholic, mostly smoked barley malt, just a little bitterness in the aftertaste.
Overall one of my favourites, but then again one of those beers that polarizes extremely well. Either you love it or hate it. I for my part LOVE it! caribou43 (1106) - Lausanne/Sevilla/Lima, SWITZERLAND - JAN 11, 2017
I bought this beer at beerlovers in Vienna. I drank at the flat in Vienna. I can make all the efforts that I want, but the smoke beers are not my cup of tea. This one smells at the nose really strong, if you had burnt thousand branches of beech, really smocked, when you drink it there is this big smelling but at the mouth, it is disappearing quickly but this smocked side is hidding the malt and the hop. kajser27 (1922) - Zagreb, CROATIA - AUG 4, 2016
Hazy, golden colored, strong white puffy head, bit overfoaming, nice lacing. Aroma is of strong burnt plastic, smoke, some malt and very light meat. Taste is medium sweet malt, caramel, smoke but overpowered by burnt plastic, peat, moderate bitterness, dry lasting bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. Way off...

Hazy orange color, huge off-white head. Aroma of smoke and bacon. Taste begins with meat and bacon, ends with some sweet notes. Medium body, flat carbonation, creamy. Very good. //bottle from Graz craft beer festival

330 ml bottle from 2013.
Werckmeister (3240) - Vienna, AUSTRIA - JUL 21, 2015
Amber, hazy body, with a big, frothy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma mainly of strong rubber and peat.
Tastes of smoke, peat, rubber, caramel, some dried fruits, some grass.
Medium mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes smokey, peaty, a bit sweet malty.
Not my cup of tea. I don’t like the nose at all, pretty bad. Taste is a bit better, with some more other notes. Overall not a beer I can finish or would drink again.
330ml bottle at home shared by Saeglopur, many thanks. Vintage 2013. According to bottle 6.8 ABV. BB 10/2015. orange hazy color, small off-white head. smells of smoke, peat, leather, rubber, very very light malty roast notes. too strong peat notes, not my thing. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of peat, rubber, citric notes, light smoke, some fruit notes in the background. finishes with peat and rubber. Rather extreme this one, others would call it unbalanced. Would need a lot more body for the strong peat notes. Interesting but does not drink too well. Kavu (4981) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 10, 2015
0,33l bottle @ HBF 2015. Pours slightly cloudy golden with a medium head. Aroma is slightly smoky malts. Flavor is smoked malts with notes of ham and whisky and a hoppy finish. Nice. wiosna (591) - - APR 10, 2015
0,33 pullo @ hbf. Samea "ruskettunut" oranssinruskea. Tuoksussa paahteisuutta, mallasta, savukinkkua, humalaa. Maistuu varsin kinkkuiselta. Mukava humala ja mallasta.
