3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle, Kroger Bridge St. Roast chocolate coffee. Roast chocolate coffee. Roast chocolate coffee. Thin, fizzy, run-of-the-mill and uninspiring. This is the kind of stout I loathe. A decent brewery makes a stout recipe out of a home-brew recipe book. Seriously, who cares anymore... You don’t have to bottle an average-at-best stout just for the sake of having a stout in your roster.
appearance: dark brown, light amber edges, short creamy tan head. aroma: cocoa powder, vanilla, light coffee, slight grassy note. taste: slightly roasty coffee, some dark chocolate, some dark fruit, light chalk. finish: light palate, lingering light roasty note. notes: Not much chocolate here; palate is overly light, flavors relatively wimpy. Weird.

Smooth and heavy and thick. Huge chocolate malt presence and delicious. I want another. GenDV138 (7284) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JUL 31, 2016
12 oz bottle. Dark ruby brownish with light tan head. Aromas of chocolate, roasty notes, a little dark fruit. Tastes of chocolate, roasty notes, light coffee. Medium body with a dry finish. weitz15 (581) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Deep brown pour, inch-plus cream head. The aroma only hints at chocolate, and the taste matches. More coffee than anything else here. hockey9930 (293) - - MAR 10, 2016
Very dark brown with no head and lots of bubbles on the side of the glass; like Coca-Cola. Aroma of roasted malts dark chocolate and vanilla. Lots of roastyness and some dark chocolate like smores over a campfire but not very sweet or creamy. Palate is more fizzy which doesn’t really fit with the taste. Like a mix of soda and smokey chocolate.

12 oz bottle. Blackish with a small beige head that has poor retention. Not much aroma to speak of--just a faint trace of roasted barley. Taste is washed-out weak chocolate with a metallic aftertaste. Palate is thinner than I prefer. Finished short and forgettable. Overall: weak stuff--I probably wont be trying any more beers from this brewery. Turboninja (710) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 15, 2016

, from Little Italy Wines, Cleveland, USA. Medium boozy aroma with coffee and roasted malts, some licorice and a hint of tar. Pitch black color with small light beige head. Medium, unbalanced rubbery taste with lean coffee, roasted malts and some licorice. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with watery licorice. Light body with medium carbonation. Overall, watery feeling in every aspect.
Looks good, deep brown color small beige head that fades quickly. Not much aroma, not much taste. Thin, watery, but it’s better than Budweiser! geologyguy (1602) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - DEC 24, 2015
Very good smell just very mild, taste is watery on finish....all malt, no hops, Slight coffee but not bitter, one dimentional NikkTwist (3218) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 9, 2015
Draft at Moriartys. Pitch black pour with a thin topping of khaki foam. No lace. Roasted chocolate malts. Dark cocoa. Burnt nuts. Hints of charcoal. A bold first impression but the depth of flavors is ultimately too shallow. Not unpleasant but not grand.
