I bought this on my last trip to Colorado.
This pours black with a 2 finger head of tan foam. Some lacing and above average head retention.
The smell is mostly of roasted malt with a light chocolate smell. There's also some coffee that becomes stronger the more whiffs I take.
The taste has the coffee bitterness up front that's supported by roasted malt and a fairly light chocolate flavour. The bitterness is also very noticeable right before the finish which itself, has a bit of sweetness to it.
It has a medium mouthfeel and the alcohol is hidden pretty well; nice job done here as it has some good flavours going on and is fairly drinkable.

355ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Slightly roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of chocolate, a touch of coffee and treacle, roasted nuts, cola. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is hops, slightly nutty and organic. Taste is nutty, wood, some spice, and malts. I didnt get any chocolate out of this at all in aroma or taste. If it was there it was very little. The finish is hoppy and bitter. Over all it is thin and not very stout like at all. Not something I would get again. ABV: 8.5%. Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, dusty, moderate roasted. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dusty, chocolate, toffee - dark malt sweet, moderate roasted, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 
Pours a dark brown, with tan head. Thin aroma, notes of chocolate and malts. Taste of chocolate, malts, and coffee. This is a very drinkable brew, but isn’t as sweet or rich as some other double chocolates(Rogue). Still, this one merits a ’thumbs up’.
