COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The most decadent creation ever to be crafted in FCB’s brewhouse. Deep roasty flavors, rich chocolate nose, coffee undertones and impeccable balance are the result of imperializing an already flawless brew.

12oz bottle (8.5% ABV per bottle) into Le Guinness Coupe du Monde 2010 - nose is wet toasted wheat bread. Sip adds coffee. I like the style but this particular example is not doing it for me; it’s too boring. As it warms I get more chocolate. dry.

Pours a dark brown with gold highlights, a good tan head with decent lacing. Aroma is roasted malt with coffee beans and some cocoa and chocolate. Taste is less chocolatey than expected with the roasted malt and dark coffee flavors being more prominent. There are some hints of chocolate but they are in the background. Also a sharp roasty bitterness that borders on tasting metallic, but doesn’t offend my palate. Finishes with mild coffee and bitterness. Mouthfeel is semi creamy with a medium body and low/medium carbonation. Solid and good tasting stout but is more balanced than expected, considering its name.

Old bottle in my parent’s fridge. Pour is dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is milk chocolate shake and light roasted malt. Flavor is really really true to.aroma. light milk chocolate and faint roasted malt. Not complicated. A little sweet and a little thin on the palate.

From 12oz bottle. Pours dark with tan head. Aroma of chocolate and malt, with a touch of coffee thrown in nicely. Nice full taste of those three. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark pour with little tan head from a bottle. Considering it is a double chocolate stout the chocolate isn’t overwhelming. Nice sweet chocolate and malt up front with a smooth coffee finish.

The smell was wonderful in the glass, but things tailed off from there. The coffee notes were not as strong and the beer felt thinner than expected in the mouth. Finish improved it somewhat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
