Bright bronze. Broken, but densely packed, off-white foam. Expressive malt nose of cocoa, caramel, and roasted dough. Very soft with a smidge of diacetyl and honeyed dates. Fluffy carbonation, but also fairly chalky. Initially sharply roasty and grainy with a fluffy biscuit quality interwoven with delicate tobacco. Quite husky, but the well-attenuated body negates much of it. Hops produce a gentle bitterness which complements the deep notes of toasted dough, but sorely lack vibrancy and definition. Finishes dryly malty and firm with fresh notes of biscuits and cocoa. Unfortunately the overuse of hops in the aroma outshine the alluringly aromatic malt elements. In terms of flavor, the muddled hop flavors and carbonic acidity are too much of a detraction.

This beer is just malty all the way around. Kind of has a vegetal thing going on, roasted vegetables and a earthy kind of mineral flavor. Other than this it is slightly syrupy and sweet, with some fruit and spice rounding out the flavor.

Orange Fire with Off White Ring. Burnt Caramel / Rich Malty Notes on the Nose. Vienna Malt Is Very Nice in This Lager..I prefer This over Schell’s Firebrick. Caramel...Toasted Notes...Thick Almost Syrapy Mouthfeel...Crips Dry Finish. Nice Brew.

Copper brown, nutty sweet, oily smooth, well hopped at the end. I liked this - good Vienna style brew

amber with a lightish head. sweet malt flavor that borders on fruit. just enough hops to balance, a nice refreshing session brew

Light, clear copper appearance, moderate head formation. Malty, lightly spiced aroma. Sweet caramel malt creamy, toasted almost burnt treacle in the second half, mild bitterness in the finish.

Bad beer. Sort of nasty flavors. not good at all. barley drinkable. Off. No nice color. Not exciting.

Aroma is a lot like a Lindemans, very fruity with caramel and dough. Body is amber/brown, with a lasting cream head. Taste is fruity which fades to a nice malt backbone. A tasty brew.

MrRomero (1976) - Nolanville, USA - JUN 2, 2004
Pours yellow/orange with a thin off white head. Sort of a stale cardboard aroma and sweet malt. A hint of grapes. Flavor is sweet and bubbly. A pretty bad beer.

MilkmanDan (1943) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - JAN 5, 2006
Deep red. Nose lightly hoppy, some caramel and brown sugar. Bit soapy. Flavor is toasty caramel and mildly bready. Fruitiness is a bit odd, lemon and something like overripe orange, a bit off. Still, nice maltiness, and decently backed by hops. Good palate as well. Reminded me a bit of a poor man’s Boulevard Bob’s 47.
