UPDATED: JUN 16, 2007 Bottle. Crystal clear and topaz-colored, with a small but lasting head. Aroma is more like papaya to me. Taste is mild papaya-banana with good balance from some slight spicy, peppery hops (or coriander, or paradise seeds?). Palate is light-medium and very refreshing, with some citric tingle. Much better summer seasonal selection than an American wheat.

Got this one bottled, thank you <a href = "http://www.ratebeer.com/View-User-19511.htm& Cloudy medium yellow pour with a wispy white head, winey and grapey nose with a lemony nose, sweet maltiness with citrusy, sour grape and cranberry. Complex finish, Great fruit beer!

My 100th Colorado beer. A medium and cloudy yellow body when poured out of the bottle. The aroma is that nice fruity note of pomegranate. It is like an apple with more tart raspberries. The taste is rich and dry. The pomegranate makes it slightly tart, similar to raspberries. Come on, I am trying to describe pomegranate flavor without saying only that. There is also a note of dry vinous character. This is a refreshing and crisp summer beer. I like this more than I should. Better than most American fruit wheats.

Bottled. Pours a straw color with a reddish hue. Fruity aroma with some vinegar notes. Dry and clean flavor with some wine notes. Finishes a bit musty. Pretty good beer.

Good tart aroma. You can actually smell the pomegranate. Hazy orange color with a big bright white head. The taste is also slightly tart with some crisp hops and a peppery sweet finish. Kind of a funky aftertaste but good slick palate. FCB gets panned on RB, but this is one of their offerings that I like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Vac (2445) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 14, 2005
Pours with a slightly cloudy, golden body topped by a thick head with some lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and fruity with notes of wine. The flavor is similar with underlying bitter notes and a touch of yeast. Light bodied, crisp and highly carbonated.

Pours a slightly hazy amber with average head that quickly fades leaving a nice lattice of lacework. Aroma is quite peachy with some wheat accents. Lively carbonation with a refreshing flavor for a fruit beer. Flavor is somewhat peachy with a very pinot grigio flavor and a nice bitter tartness on the finish.

At first I thought it would taste too fruity. But the taste of the fruit was not overpowerful.

Appearance: very clear yellow golden color, nice foamy white head, slightly dense head, head dissolves slightly quick when poured Aroma: fruity, pomegranate, sweet Taste: fruity beer, sweet in the beginning and becomes tart, great summer, refreshing and slightly bitter at the end, the fruit key notes are noticeable Palette: bitter on the to tongue and slightly sweet Overall: this is very enjoyable, fruit infused beers are one of my favorite and this one is very good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pomegranate, pear, apple, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Okay aromas with decent balance of pale malt, fruit, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. A bit too estery in the nose. Taste of lemon, pomegranate, pear, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of fruity tartness and earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pomegranate, pear, wheat, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt, fruit, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; with a nice bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a solid fruited wheat ale. Good robusntess and balance of pale malt, fruit, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A pleasant and enjoyable offering.
